One thing I was not expecting in the doll was the fact that its eyes open and close. The explanation did not give that feature, from what I recall. Decades ago, my parents gave me a Madame Alexander doll, my very first baby doll. Because of that, I only looked for this type of doll for my new granddaughter. She is still very young (a baby herself), so she cannot appreciate her doll, quite yet. I am waiting for her to start recognizing her baby doll, maybe this year or next year!
