This unit is fantastic. We have a community well for our water source and the quality reports are troubling, so I have been looking for a water filtration device. In our previous homes we have always had reverse osmosis units. But there is always a question about the benifits of drinking water that is essentially distilled. This unit solves those concerns. It filters out all of the bad stuff, leaving the natural mineral content! The water really does taste amazing! My husband installed this unit himself. He said the install was very straight forward and the directions were complete and easy to follow. But he had previously installed all of our reverse osmosis systems, so he did have previous experience. I have already reordered replacement cartridges to have on hand although it says the filters are good for 6 months or 350 gal. But I am sure that varies with the quality of the water they have to filter. The ease of installing the filters is awesome! The design and the quality of filtration of the three filter pack, for my needs, makes this the perfect system! Knowing that lead, cysts, pesticides, etc. are being removed, besides the normal sediment, odor and chlorine is such a relief! Works great and easy to install, but it was so hard to close with the cartridges I thought I had it closed and of course it didn't work. The company I ordered it from sent another one out right away. By the time it came I found my problem. I felt kinda stupid. Just so you don't make the same mistake, remember is hard to close for a few times. I recommend it. ... show more

    • A good filter, but be careful of the O-rings when inserting the tubing to the filter.
Once installed this filter seems to work well. I had a problem with the installation when connecting the tubing to the filter. It uses plastic tubing that pushed into a connection with dual O-rings. The O-rings in the inlet side somehow got twisted and damaged and it leaked badly when water was turned on. A call to their very helpful customer support resulted in immediate shipment of a new unit. This one installed perfectly with no leaks. I knocked one star off due to the O-ring problem. I would prefer a regular compression fitting for these connections. I could not get this device to stop leaking. I kept taking out the tubing and trying again but it didn't work for all of the tubes. The connections at the faucet and water source were the really leaky ones. Previous system had locks, this one just relies on pressure and any movement caused it to leak again. My father has a real Culigan installed 3 filter under sink system. Cost him alot! His water taste great! Don't know why I thought this would compare. One star for taste. Just installed last week.
