Features

  • THE ONLY GRAVITY FILTER CERTIFIED TO REMOVE MICROPLASTICS, LEAD & TOTAL PFAS: Enjoy cleaner, safer water with our carbon and ceramic water filter certified to NSF/ANSI-42 standards to reduce harmful contaminants. Each gravity water filter reduces microplastics, lead and forever chemicals, while keeping in essential minerals like calcium and magnesium. Ceramic filters are not designed to reduce TDS (total dissolved solids), so TDS readings may stay the same or slightly rise while still giving you healthier, safer water.
  • COMPATIBLE WITH BERKEY WATER FILTERS: All Berkey water filters fit inside Culligan gravity dispensers, including Berkey Black BB9-2 Water Filter Replacement. The Culligan MaxClear countertop water filter system is also compatible with Boroux, ProOne, Doulton, Purewell and Waterdrop replacement filters.
  • EASY INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE: No electricity or plumbing required. Place this water filtration system anywhere in your house and simply fill up a glass to enjoy fresh, clean drinking water. The large gallon capacity requires fewer refills, making it the perfect water filter for home, and provides enough daily drinking water for a family of 4 or more.
  • POWERFUL CARBON AND CERAMIC WATER FILTER: Culligan gives you certified filtration that lower priced gravity filters cant match. Unlike many low-cost gravity water filter system alternatives, our carbon and ceramic water filter features both a high-grade ceramic outer shell and a filter core that is made of proprietary carbon-based granular material to reduce contaminants.
  • COUNTERTOP WATER FILTER DISPENSER WITH DURABLE, SLEEK DESIGN: Our thoughtfully designed stainless steel water filter dispenser comes with a brushed finish for better-for-you hydration that looks good and tastes better. Includes a stainless steel spigot and stand for easy use. When youre finished, the gravity water filter system nests within itself to store at less than 12 inches tall.

  • Works well
It does what it claims. I suggest installing multiple filters if speed of filtration is a concern.

  • Great tasting water!
Fantastic product, one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon. Super easy to assemble, took virtually ten minutes. Size is perfect for our three family home, we refill about once a week. Water tastes amazing, fresh sparkling and clean. This was an excellent value for the money. We highly recommend it no matter where you live. No leakage and the design is simple. Everyone needs this. ... show more

  • A good filter to remove PFAS
We bought this as a slightly cheaper alternative to reverse osmosis. Over all we are pretty happy with it. The water tastes good, the container looks nice. It works well for our purposes. We are a family of five, and we have to fill ours up every night (which we anticipated buying it). Overall, my only complaints are as follows: -it takes a really long time to fill from empty (especially the first few times; I think it took over night the first time to filter a full container). Definitely use all three filter at a time. That speeds it up a bit but you definitely need to stay on top of filling it because it takes awhile to fill up from empty. -we washed everything before using it, and even with drying it, the container got water spots on it that have been difficult to get off (second picture). Something to be aware of (which I wasn't): this filter intentionally leaves some minerals like magnesium and calcium (at least that's what Google said when I googled this), so if you boil water (like in an electric kettle) there will be a white residue left behind. Not harmful, but it was a little surprising. To summarize: if you want a simple (slightly) cheaper alternative to remove PFAS (but you need more water than a fridge pitcher offers), this is a good option, just allow plenty of time for it to filter. ... show more

  • Could be better
It’s not user friendly. I just kept filling it to keep water full, but if you do that then it starts to filter to the bottom tank and the bottom tank just overflows. The water didn’t taste that great either. It’s decent but not good enough for the price and what else you could get. Large too.

  • Well-Built Gravity Filter - Slow but Reliable for Daily Use
This is a nicely built stainless steel water filter that requires no water pressure or electricity to operate. It has one moving part, the spigot, but that only moves when you dispense water. It's relatively small in diameter and takes up about a square foot of counter space, but it's quite tall, so it probably won't fit under cabinets. Visually, this has a utilitarian design that clearly says, "I care more about having filtered water to drink than having a pretty kitchen," which is fine by me. It looks good but not fancy. Everything is solidly made from stainless steel, easy to clean, and lightweight yet sturdy enough to transport. Setup and Operation Setup is easy—wash everything, assemble it, and fill with water. It took about 5 minutes from the box to running. It came with one filter element that looks like a lump of slightly porous ceramic with a fitting on one end. You'll want to minimize handling of the filter since the outside shell is the filtering surface. Simply rinse and scrub it with the included pad to remove dust, and you're ready to go. To operate, remove the lid and pour water into the top. Gravity pushes water through the filter cartridge, and it drains into the basin below. The bottom basin has the spigot. Wait a few hours and you'll have room-temperature filtered water. Performance: The flow rate is slow—it takes about a day to filter 2 gallons. The system has holes for two filter cartridges, but it only came with one. If you need faster filtration, you can add a second element. The included filter removes chlorine, chloramine, microplastics, sediment, and lead. The filtered water tastes great. Bottom Line: A really nice feature is compatibility with several brands of gravity filter elements, including Berkey, Phoenix, Purewell, and Newton systems. This is a solid choice if you want a continuous supply of room-temperature filtered water without the complexity of an under-sink system. ... show more

  • Absolutely Essential Gravity Water Filter System
I was already impressed with the brand and with what I read about it but when this Culligan water filter arrived, I was still blown away. It looks so well-built, solid and old fashioned. The brushed ceramic finish is classy so it doesn’t scream “kitchen gadget,” as much as it whispers “well-cared-for home.”, lol. The 3-gallon capacity is perfect. Big enough to keep the water flowing for the week without constant refills, but compact enough to sit gracefully on a countertop without hogging space. Setting this up is a breeze, you simply fill the top chamber, let gravity do its thing and the filtered water drips down steadily into the bottom reservoir. I’ve caught myself standing there, watching the slow drip which is oddly sooo satisfying. The filter itself is efficient and easy to replace, so even a tech-phobe like me can keep it running at peak performance without consulting a manual. This isn’t just a filter. It’s the kind of appliance that quietly improves your day, sip by sip, while looking absolutely chic doing it. I've started giving these as gifts to friends and they’re always a hit. I think in time every home will have one. I love most that it’s NSF/ANSI certified to reduce lead, microplastics and even total PFAS. I highly recommend this for the combination of clean water, elegant design and peace of mind. This filter makes drinking water feel like a small luxury and its a charming appliance you didn’t know you needed until it was in your life. For the reassurance of knowing that my family’s water is cleaner than anything from a bottle gives me a quiet satisfaction every time I pour a glass, I give this five stars! ... show more
