Culligan filters reduce chlorine taste & odor for better tasting water and ice. They provide fresh water by also reducing select pharmaceuticals including ibuprofen, atenolol, and trimethoprim. Additionally, most Culligan filters reduce the presence of illness-causing, waterborne parasites, like Giardia and Cryptosporidium, helping you stay healthy when you hydrate. Culligan filters have an activated carbon cartridge that absorbs the carbon- based VOCs (volatile organic compounds) as they pass through the filter, resulting in better water. Culligan filters provide a compatible refrigerator fit that’s easy to install and replace every 6 months. Culligan filters are certified by IAPMO R&T against NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 401 for the reduction of claims specified in the performance data sheet. The tabs are too thick so they won't lock into the holder. DO NOT BUY for LT800P replacement. It took so long to come in which made the disappointment even greater.
