I received a genuine Samsung filter. They come with a little test kit to verify they are from Samsung. It was an exact match to my existing filter that came with my fridge. Seems to performing just like my original. I have read many reviews of these filters. There are a lot of knock offs and frauds out there. From what I can tell their are 2 levels of Genuine Samsung Filters. One that filters many contaminates and a lower grade that filters just limited things that are more related to taste, i.e. just a charcoal filter. Some are also rated for 3 months versus 6 months. Take great care and read the offerings carefully. Many vendors that offer these filters even use the Samsung name in their adds. If you read carefully they end saying that it fits a Samsung fridge. None of the generic units that I looked at offer the same level of protection as the premium Samsung filter. Buyer Beware! ... show more

I have a Samsung (new) refrigerator and already having problems finding this replacement filter in stores. There are several on the market that are similar to “one size fits all”, but I don’t want to try a filter not specifically made for Samsung. Happy I found these on Amazon.

I'm not able to find the brand name water filter for my fridge in the stores, it seems all they carry is store brand that don't fit properly and leak water. Filter fits perfectly and provides good tasting water.

The filter was easy to install. The ice and water taste better than some of the bottled water that you buy in the stores. Would highly recommend replacing every 6 months. Very satisfied with the quality of the product.

These are OEM filters for our Samsung fridge. They are $50 plus each at the local big box stores. This is our second purchase of these filters and they fit, and filter, with no leaks as they should. If this is the filter your Samsung fridge needs, buy these without hesitation.

I got this filter for our new fridge when the old one was ready to be replaced. Before this one, I tried an off-brand filter, which leaked all over the inside of the fridge. After cleaning up that mess and installing this filter, the leak was gone. This filter is quite expensive compared to the off-brand ones, but at least this one doesn't leak.
