  • A bundle of value
Before purchasing, I was a little concerned about the price: $129 is pretty expensive for a replacement head strap. But is breaks down fairly well. You get a $49 carry case, a $49 Elite Head Strap, and a $31 battery pack. The battery is built in to the head strap and provides not only double the charge for your headset, but also acts as a pretty great counter-balance, making the Quest 2 feel a lot more comfortable. The good: the head strap is a lot more comfortable than the default cloth one that came with the Quest 2. The ratcheting gear in the back allows quick and easy adjustment that stays where you set it, while the rubber and plastic frame provides stability, comfort and support. The integrated battery provides not only double the charge, but nearly completely counter-balances the headset so it does not feel like there is as much weight strapped to your face. The charge of the battery is also displayed within the headset, so you can keep track of your total charge. The carry case is made out of a strong and durable cloth-covered plastic with a recessed zipper, providing enough room inside for the headset, elite strap, controllers, and charger. The bad: Top of the list is that the carry case was included; I would have preferred a $79 product with case sold separately. The carry case has a recessed zipper, which is "neat" but has a tendency to get stuck on the USB cable running between the battery and the headset. And while the USB port on the battery can be plugged in allowing you to charge while using it, it does not support Link passthrough. Meaning if you want to use Oculus Link you can't use the extra battery. Overall I think this is probably a pretty good value for anyone wanting to get the new Elite Strap, and has some extra cash they want to throw at a battery and case. The battery is great for doubling the standard 2-hour play time of the headset, which is great for power gamers and avid VR movie watchers. However if you're not planning to use your headset for more than 2 hours at a time, there's not really a lot of incentive for you to get this. Still treat yourself to the Elite Strap, however. The $49 replacement strap is virtually a game-changer! ... show more

  • Perfect for wireless PC VR!
I bought the first elite strap at launch with my Oculus and loved it til it broke, got a replacement and it broke again in the same place! I'm cursed! However, I really wanted this one for wireless PC VR because of the battery. Only problem was it was never in stock! Finally was able to get one and it hasn't broke yet (knock on wood). Coupled with a few more accessories and I got a pretty good frankenquest setup! I like the fact that you can see both battery levels on the home menu also. I prefer first party products for this specific reason. The case: it's cool. I like the material. I don't use it to store the headset because of my setup. It doesn't fit, but with the stock strap and no grips on the controllers it's fine. I have shelves and hooks to store my stuff so I just use the case for other accessories and it's perfect for that purpose. Highly recommend for the battery strap alone. If you see it's in stock, better grab it. They scalp it on ebay all the time for double and even triple the price, just saying 😎 ... show more

  • Got it, and NOT disappointed. This is a must to get lost in VR for hours!
Perfect integration with the Oculus 2. Easy to install. And play time is increased up to 4 hours straight (but sometimes 3, it depends on the game. Games with other players and a lot of chit chat seems to drain it faster). The battery balances the unit, so it's more comfortable then the original strap. Plus turning the dial to adjust the fit is satisfying. The case that came with it is nice, although it with be perfect if you could charge the oculus while it packed away, but you can not do that. So the oculus doesn't make it to the case as often. That's really the only con, aside from that it costs money. But I think it's worth the extended fun. Oh, btw, you can see the battery level for the extended battery while in VR. That is not the case for the 3rd party options. Bottom line, I'm very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Great purchase for the Quest 2
Excellent purchase. The Elite strap makes the Quest 2 so much more comfortable than the stock strap that came with it. It feels much more secure on your head . It's also much easier to adjust. The carrying case fits all accessories easily and the hard shell of it makes it all safe for transport. The only thing I don't like with the case is the zipper pull string. It's very thin (think a strong piece of thread) and seems like it may break easily. ... show more

  • Number One Accessory for the Quest 2
This accessory is vital, It not only has the strap that holds much better, more firm and gives less stress on the back of the neck. It also keeps the firm hold if you jerk your head one way (instead of shifting the headset when you use the stretchy, stock strap). On top of that, it has a battery in the back that not only extends play time (still keep caution that longer sessions can hurt eyes or cause dizziness), but it also acts as a small counterweight to help with neck pain in longer sessions. The only issue I have ran into with the battery is that if you keep it plugged in to the headset, it will continue to charge the headset, even if the Quest 2 is shut down. Normally I only use the battery when the headset is low (<30%) and unplug it when its above that or shut down. The case is fairly standard, it holds the headset with the battery strap and both controllers. It has a small segment in the front for small accessories such as a screen wipe or charging cable, but there's not too much room, just enough for travel. It has a fuzzy feel to it and is a slightly hard case, so if you drop it from a small height, it should keep the headset safe. The part I'm not too fond of is the zipper strap is "hidden" inside the case, so when you zip it up, sometimes it gets stuck on the cable clip that's on the strap (but a small jiggle will free it and zip up). ... show more

  • great
Both the Elite Strap With Battery and Quest 2 Carrying Case are the best thing to have right now if this is the first time your owning a Oculus Quest. The Elite Strap with Battery is very comfortable compared to the strap that comes with the Quest 2. The Battery gives you a extra 2-3 hours more of play time if fully changed. Also with the Carrying Case it will protect your Quest 2 from Dust and The sun. ... show more
