  • Pretty good so far.
Size: 2-Slice Style: Toaster
Bagel setting toasts unevenly & toasts both sides. I haven't used it often enough that I know yet which number setting I'd prefer for just a slice of regular bread. I try to remember to unplug after each use as was emphasized in every instruction. Maybe there have been instances of spontaneous combustion as a number of reviewers complained about a different brand toaster. I'd rather not take a chance. Looks good & doesn't take up too much room on the counter. ... show more

  • Great Toaster......however......
Size: 2-Slice Style: Toaster
Every time I toast, I get this burning odor - like a wire is too hot or something. The toaster works great but I'm concerned I may have a potential fire issue?

  • Great toaster
Size: 2-Slice Style: Toaster
Was looking to replace my 15 year old cuisinart toaster which still worked great but was looking nasty. This one works and looks great.

  • Nice looking but disappointed in quality and performance
Size: 2-Slice Style: Toaster
I chose the this toaster over the Kitchen Aid I was replacing because the reviews were better on the Cuisinart. I have both brands in kitchen appliances so it was a toss up. I opened the box and immediately noticed that this toaster was light and sounded chintzy. The slots aren't as wide as my old toaster which was also more solid and made much better toast. This new toaster has a high range of heat options. I've been test on level 1 and 2...and not having good luck. The two sides of the bread toaster differently with one side being considerably darker than the other. I can tell that the slots are considerably smaller because I can't easily remove the toast with a small wooden tool for that purpose. Disappointed but I'll keep it...next time I'll look for one in a store so I can touch it before buying. ... show more

This looks like what a toaster should look like. Simple. A lever, a knob, openings in the top. A casing. The lever stopped working after a year or so. It toasted OK, just bread and I am not too fussy about perfect coloration front and back since I will be eating it immediately, not serving it to the Queen or framing it. I like it dark so I am used to having to send it down a second time and pay attention. But I expected more than one year from this; I have probably not even toasted more than 50 slices. And I keep it cleaned. I am the only user and I am nice to my things. Moreover, the "stainless" is anything but. It is cheap and stains and smells of rust when I run a damp sponge over it. Even my Energy Star GE Microwave of recent vintage is made of the same cheap metal they are now calling "stainless." Blatant lie. I have purchased, in about one month, 3 different brands (KitchenAid, GE, and Oster) and all 3 have been returned for having a dead lever. Reading the various reviews, it would seem this is a minor game in the corporate life—produce these little tin boxes and if some stay sold—fine. Doesn't matter what the brand is, they seem to all have their working parts made in the same indifferent factory— in China. I live on the edge of the planet. Our local Lowes had toasters online so I went there today to try one out IN PERSON to be sure it worked. (Why not do that in the first place? I have painful arthritis and the appliances are a block from the entry.) Guess what. They don't actually STOCK them. Waste of shelf space, I suppose. The nearest really BIG Lowes or Home Depot or the like is 45-60 minutes away and I bet they don't bother with them either. Walmart is not on my list of trusted sources for Important Purchases. So it's back to the Amazon lottery. There is no other way since I refuse to travel that distance to buy a toaster—and not be sure of finding one in the first place. How do all those other folks get the good toasters they rate over 4 stars? ... show more
