Looks nice works ok but when you press the bagel button it still toasts on both sides. Regular toasting is not even on both sides either, but it does the job of toasting.

It toasts bread. Perfectly? Meh, it's toast, whatever. It's not expensive. It's not ugly. It's not perfect, but it will do. It will probably last as long as a toaster several times the cost. The crumb tray is a bit of a joke like on all toasters. Like all toasters the best way to clean out the crumbs is to carry it to the kitchen sink, turn it upside down and shake it like mad. I hope to get a few years out of this toaster and then I will buy another one, just like the people who are paying $200 for a nice colorful looking toaster. Would I pay $200 for a great looking toaster ? Yes, IF I knew it would last as long my parent's old toaster that was built like a tank and lasted 40 years, sure. But they don't.

We have had 3 Cuisinart toasters. One was phenomenal, but when it pooped out, we wanted to replace with same type, style features. No luck. So, we found this version, thought compared to other toasters same type, 4 slices, etc., with our prior history of the name, we would be ok with it. We had this toaster twice now. First one barley worked, wouldn't lift up the toast when finished toasting, and we thought the elements toasting weren't all that good. The, one side stopped toasting. We got in touch, Cuisinart reached out. I had asked if there was an easy way to replaced the toasting elements and pop ups. They reviewed, noticed we were within warranty period, and sent us a replacment model after proving purchasez photographing the cord being cut off at the base of the toaster. We were without a toaster about a week. We get the replacement, looks good. But, immediately, same issues with the pop up, mo strenght basically for lightweight, regular breads to spring up after toasting. Bagels forget about it, you will never see them remotely pop up, you have stand and watch and listen for it to make a spring sound and realize the are ready. It makes odd sounds when toasting almost like metal springs groaning and just sounds like it won't last very long. And we have only had this replacement under 2 months. The toasting elements are working ok, for now. Frankly, I am surprised Cuisinart puts their name on this. It would be a better toaster in a noname compay at the dollar store. You just will be disappointed.

This is only the 3rd toaster we have had in over 40 years. BUT, this Quisinart toasts everything that I put in it better than any I have ever eaten before. It is really amazing and my husband agrees with me. Don't know what it is that my others lacked, but it is so much better, both textured inside & outside of the bagel/toast. I especially like the bagel function and the frozen control. Oh, and I also love the warm up feature & clean-out. There isn't anything that I don't like. Everything that comes out is better than ever before. BTW...... I am truly a non-solicited buyer. And, the other two brands I ordered, I had to send back. One fingerprinted all over and the second one didn't work. Got lucky when I ordered this one. Barb

Love this toaster. It is well made and works really well. The option for bagels is nice so that they don't get over toasted. Very sturdy and the options make this a great choice.
