Overall we're pleased with the way this grill cooks, and it's got ample room to cook for a large group! Very even heat distribution and it heated up quickly. It took my husband and I just over an hour to assemble it, but it wasn't bad. My only complaint is the hassle of getting it here without damage. The first one we got, one of the grill plates had been snapped in half. They sent us a new grill very quickly (within 1 business day!) but even that one was damaged, with a large dent in the back that prevented the grill plates from fitting inside. We were tired of dealing with returns so we hammered out the dent and everything's working fine, we just hope that area (which had some paint chipped off too) doesn't rust. Functionality-wise, we give this grill an A+! ... show more

Full disclosure, I had to retire my Vermont Castings grill. The VT is the Rolls Royce of grills. The burners on the VT are like the engines on an F15. Unfortunately you can't reasonable get VT in the USA anymore. Even more unfortunate, I replaced it with this Cuisinart. Other than ease of assembly and aesthetics, this grill has ZERO redeeming qualities. It boasts "stainless steel" construction which is, in reality sheet metal I can bend with 2 fingers. There is no consistency in heat distribution and you'd have to go out of your way to burn yourself on this thing. Literally 15 minutes to cook a hamburger and another 5 minutes to melt the cheese if you're in the mood for a cheeseburger. Bottom line=GARBAGE product if you're into serious grilling. Great product if you want to struggle to cook the kids some hot dogs. ... show more

    • Damaged inside an undamaged box

The grill was fairly easy to assemble, except where the grill was damaged. The shipping box was undamaged, and the packaging was very sturdy. Bur the fire box was damaged on both the left and right side. It was bent outwards as if something pushed it from the inside. Had to use sheet metal tools in order to hammer the sides into shape so the side panels could be attached. Worse was the control panel. The right-hand corner was completely bent. Because of the angles of the sheet metal, it was impossible to completely repair. Was able to shape it so it could be assembled, but it has a bulge on the right-hand side. Have not tried to use the grill yet. Was just upset to receive a product that appears to have been damaged before it was packaged in the box. The packaging appeared to be well designed. ... show more

Bought this as a gift and it has been a hit! We assembled it in an hour, it wasn't difficult. The heat output is great and this has been money well spent. Would definitely recommend.

Directions left a little to be desired, and we were missing a few small parts. Hunting for screws that fit isn’t an easy task. But the grill works well.
