    • Won't find better for the money
My friend's mom has this set and I knew I wanted my own the second I used hers. The main chef's knife is heavy, balanced, and comfortable, as are the the Santoku knife and the slicing knife. They come extremely sharp out of the box, and the grind tells me that future whetstone sharpenings will be a breeze. My only complaint about this set is that the shears and the steak knives feel cheap. Wish they would have used the same full tang construction for the steak knives that they used for the rest of the set. The knives that matter are well-made. These knives are very sharp! The larger knives are the ones with the tang so that the blade will not break off the handle (which can happen in cheap knife sets). Definitely recommend

Got these to upgrade the mixed "set" I've been using. They work well, keep an edge. Only one I don't like is the small curved knife, which is for creating pretty carved melons, etc.; the tip broke off.
