This cone collar is soft and more comfortable than the normal plastic cones that I have had to use for my dog in the past. It is also much more convenient when not in use as you are able to fold it and put it away.

We got this soft cone for our 7 month old Great Dane puppy after an unexpected vet visit and it worked very well for two weeks of almost constant use. The white edging is reflective, making it easy to see for middle of the night potty breaks, and the soft texture meant our doggie fell asleep quickly in comfort. We were able to get the collar on and off with relative ease for mealtimes and were also able to wash and dry slobber off of it quickly. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is that towards the end of needing to wear the cone, our pup figured out that he could get it in his mouth and chewed through a small section of the stitching, exposing the cotton batting in that one section. The rest of the sections stayed intact and I repaired it.

Much better than plastic cone that vet sends your dog home in. Nice and soft but stiff enough so your dog can’t lick their incision. I would recommend this item

Liked how flexible and soft it was. Wasn't sure it would stay on, but our dog hasn't been able to get off. Worked the first day or two, but we were around dog and/or was only left in kennel for short period of time. By day 3 came home from work and she had gotten the dog bootie and bandage off her front paw with the cone still on. Our dog is a taller and 72lbs. So guess this depends on where the incision or issue is at, but if it is on the paw consider the leg length of your dog before purchasing this option.
