This shade is by far the Cadillac of the canopy industry. I had never ordered anything from Crown Shade before, but I'm sold on the quality of their shades. It's a one man job to set this shade up. After expanding the legs, go under the shade and push up on the central hub until it clicks. You can then push on the red button of the leg release and pull each leg down to the desired length. The shade is so versatile, because it can be set up on a hillside or on flat terrain. There are holes in the feet of the legs that allow you to stake the canopy down. I'm sold on the bright red color of the canvas with this shade, as it stands out from all the tans or greens. There are air vents in the top of this canopy that helps with circulation. And I must not forget the bag that comes with, to store the shade, stakes and ropes for tie-downs.

25 July 2021: This past week I finally opened up this device and applied the canopy shade. It was as easy to set up as the video I watched at the Amazon product page. Once the fabric shade was on, pushing the center up was easily accomplished and it locked securely in place. I really liked the locking mechanism of the four struts. Just pull up and the strut locks. Press the red flange and it lowers. I was able to move it around the driveway to give me shade over the utility trailer I was rewiring. I could go to the center of one side, move it along then do the same on the opposite side. I'm in my seventies with the usual cervical and lumbar stenosis problems of those my age. While moving the canopy around, it didn't shimmy and flex too much, giving me the sense that it was constructed well. It came with eight metal tent stakes, four for the base of each strut and four that are used with the guy ropes on the fabric canopy shade. The guy ropes are braided poly and come with a plastic piece that allows tension adjustment. I didn't have to use a midshipman's hitch for that. So, all that said, with so much technology involved in the center mechanism and with the struts' height adjustment mechanism, I have to wonder if this device will stand up over time. Here in New Mexico we have sand, dust and grit. Sometimes more advanced technology doesn't have the durability of more simple mechanisms. The overall rating I gave five stars. I didn't rate durability as it's too soon. Sun protection and ease of assembly each received five starts. As with all my reviews, should my opinion change I'll return and amend the review.

I use canopies regularly and have for years. It is always a balance between durability and price. I find this one to be a nearly perfect balance. It goes up and down quickly and easily. It does its job. We can put it away until next time. No muss, no fuss. And the price is competitive. This canopy is better quality than the cheaper ones and I like it better.

This is a great easy to use canopy, but I wish it was easy yo purchase a mosquito net for it. Because of the slanted legs, it is hard to find a mosquito net for insect protection

Just excellent. First of all the canopy comes in a very sturdy bag, that not only has a pair of handles, but also wheels, so you just can roll it to wherever you want to place it. Then the instructions are in the same bag, take out the canopy, place the poles that are the bottom of the legs and push from the center out. Super simple and easy to have a great area of shade or cover. All the legs have locks to maintain the selected height, as well as the center of the canopy. There is plenty of room inside, no need to be hunched if you are tall. Lastly you can use the ropes and stakes to secure it to the ground. The fabric is also very good quality and the stitches won't seem to be an issue like in other canopies I've seen. Very very happy with my purchase.

The tent is super easy to set up. Great quality. One of the best tents of this type I’ve seen. However I ordered (2) tan colored tents to match and they sent me a tan and a gray. Not a big enough deal to send it back but still disappointing
