These are beautiful and fairly easy to put together if you remember this tip. It’s right in the directions but it didn’t register with me. If part D (leg stretcher) is slanting downward and part E is above them (upper holes), you’ve got your legs switched. Part E (front stretcher) should be below part D. I had to take my first one apart and fix it, but once I figured that out, they turned out perfect. ... show more

I ordered three sets of these chairs to replace the cushioned ones I currently have that my cats have poked or chewed full of holes. I figured I would go cushionless so they wouldn’t have anything to chew or claw. I only have one put together right now, but I’m very happy with the quality. Sturdy, durable wood with a beautiful finish. Putting them together takes some time, but it is not difficult at all. The only tools needed are the supplied Allen wrench and a drill with a Phillips tip. You could use a Phillips screwdriver, but if you have a cordless drill it’s much faster and easier. Edit: Got the second chair out to assemble and there is one small area where the finish was scraped off (see photo), but for the most part they are pretty well packed. Will update again if there are any issues with the other four chairs when I get them assembled. ... show more

Chairs arrived exactly as described. Assembly was pretty straightforward - only one slight problem- that was more 'operator ' error- when legs or braces labeled as 'left' or 'right' - they were meant by manufacturer to be left and right as you faced the chair - not left or right if you were SITTING in the chair. Took quite a bit of figuring out on the first chair- but once i did- second chair went together in a matter of a few minutes!! Otherwise, chairs seem very sturdy and look great- these are used in my choir room at church by people who have difficulty standing or sitting in lower chairs! ... show more

Only bought one pack of chairs at first because I was skeptical of the quality based on the price, but it is safe to say I will now be purchasing my second set to complete my dining table! They are a true black, came in perfect condition, directions were so easy to follow and only took me 10 minutes per chair to assemble (using a drill with an alan wrench attachment and phillips, by hand would've taken a little longer). Not to mention they look like they came with my table more than the chairs that actually did. They are not the most comfortable chair, but that is to be expected with solid wood furniture, if the firmness of straight up wood furniture bothers you, you can always purchase cushions to add color/comfort. I absolutely love the craftsmanship of these chairs. They are made very well and are not too bad to put together. I did this by myself without my husband’s help and it took me about an honest hour and a half total. On my second chair I got the left and right legs on wrong, so then I saw what another reviewer said when they stated the side braces did not lineup. Well, this means your legs need switched. So, if you’re facing the seat and the front of the back rest, the right leg is your right and the left is your left. I was super happy when I got them in the house and realized that I did well because they match the wood on the stools that we had gotten earlier from Wayfare. But unfortunately when you’re sitting on them they’re only 23 inches tall so I felt like a child when I would sit on one of those stools at our island. These chairs saved that and I absolutely love them! ... show more
