  • Good Value Great Fit Excellent Performance
Style: CT RAD Micro Green Pattern Name: Sight
I paired with a Springfield Hellcat OSP, mounted perfectly with no modifications. The unit lined up great with iron sights for co-witnessing. Fitment is as if it was made specifically for the handgun. Easily adjustable...some may not like that adjustments don't have clicks, but I like that it has finer tuning capability than one MOA clicks...I don't see that I will ever adjusting for windage or drop for specific shots, so the more analog adjustment allows me to fine-tune to exactly where I want it calibrated. Nice green dot on a high quality glass screen. The green dot is the perfect size, and the screen is a good compromise of being small enough for concealed carry but large enough for quick acquisition. Using the optic made a substantial improvement for me in speed getting on target, as well as accuracy. Once zeroed, the sight stays very consistent. I occasionally check against a bore sight to verify it has not moved. It is very durable...the unit is well-constructed to endure the bumping and banging to which an everyday carry is subjected. One suggestion to the manufacturer...consider changing the color of the storage cover from black to a bright color. Being black, it blends too well with the weapon, and I occasionally holster it without removing the cover. It is just a matter of time until I lose the cover (have found it laying in the driveway several times). A bright color for the cover might alert the user to remove the cover before actively carrying. I would recommend for any micro carry handgun set up for an optic. ... show more

  • Works Great
Style: CT RAD Micro Pro Red Pattern Name: Sight
I mounted this to my Ruger Max 9. This was my first red dot so it took me a bit to become proficient with it, but once this is zeroed in, I'm more accurate and consistent than I've ever been. I bought the Pro with the red dot. I've had no issues with dot brightness either on the indoor range or outdoor rage in bright sunlight. It appears to be very solid and adjustment is easy, especially when sighted with a bore sight laser. It doesn't bother me that the battery is on the bottom and the unit needs to be removed to replace. It's a decent battery life so I won't be changing it often. The shake to wake feature works great. My only issue was that the screws loosened mounting it to my handgun, so with a dab of blue loc-tite I've had no other issues. I'm so impressed with this little unit, I'm purchasing another Pro in green dot for my G43X MOS. I'm very pleased. ... show more

  • Worth it (but it had been previously returned!
Style: CT RAD Micro Red Dot Pattern Name: Sight
I love this red dot. It is always on (replace the battery every year (they say 2+)). Easy to zero so no big deal that have to remove it to replace battery. Need the enclosed tool to set windage but that is only when you zero it. Holds zero. Is small and light and easy to acquire. BUT: This had been mounted and returned. Had a big thumb print on the glass and the screw package was open, but I like it so I kept it. The auto dimming is perfect. It is just right and transitions from light to dark to back again seamlessly. Why pay the extra $75 for the shake awake feature on the Pro if you use it to conceal carry and your movements will keep it on anyway. I gave it 4 stars because they recommend you keep the rubber cover on when not in use and the provided cover is too loose and just falls off. Not a big deal until you go to clean you gun and want to protect the dot from oil and grease. I have contacted them and am waiting for a reply. I have practiced shooting from concealment and find the dot faster than the front sight to make an accurate shot repeatedly. It also co witnesses better on the shield plus than anything that requires an additional mounting plate as the Trace mounts directly. Lastly they recommend the wrong length screws. Test carefully. Use a torquing device set at 10 lbs. Practice regularly if you plan to carry. Keep your firearm secure when not in use. Be a responsible gun owner! ... show more

  • Simple instalation.
Style: CT RAD Micro Pro Red Pattern Name: Sight
Bought this for a Berretta Apx/A1 I will say I am not sure where I got the ideas that it was a direct fit but I can tell you that it does not... Despite the disappointing start I just grabbed the the Hellcat OSP and in about 35 seconds it was installed and with a couple twist of the provided CT adjusting screw the rear sight notch cut into the sight naturally draws the eye to the original sight pic and makes this a natural combo... Really gona like this unit.. only negative would be that removing the battery means removing the whole sight... not terrible I can live with this... ... show more

  • Update, no longer the best optic for the Shield Plus
Style: CT RAD Micro Green Pattern Name: Sight
4/13/23 Finally received my replacement micro rad. Not the best experience. 3/30/23 Sent another follow up email. Not one response since my initial email for warranty on the cracked glass. So maybe they really don't have a warranty. 3/25/23. Sent another follow up email. No response yet. Update 3/21/23, have not heard back from CT customer service. I sent in my warranty request with picture and documentation on the 12th. Sent a follow up email on Sunday the 19th. No response. So much for the warranty. Your mileage may vary, but definitely not buying another CT product. Update 3/12/23, the glass cracked on the bottom right corner. The gun has never been droppped. I have put about 400 rounds through the gun. Pretty disappointed! I wouldn't trust this red dot. Look elsewhere. I have other dots with several thousand rounds and they are perfect. So, I purchased the green version of the standard RAD. I think this is a complete fail on CT. It is not very bright and pretty unuseable. That being said, I loved the footprint for the M&P shield plus. Doesn't hang over the side and is sleek and works really well with that gun. It co-witneses the shield plus sights perfect with the standard night sights. I then tried the regular red dot version. What a difference, such a better experience. I have tried to go green for my astigmatism, but I honestly haven't noticed that much difference between the two. Anyway, if you buy this optic, buy the red version. This really is an amazing optic. I hope at some point CT will release a ipx7 water resistant version. ... show more
