  • It can be used to scare unwanted birds away.
Keeps the Starlings and Black Birds away from the bird feeders.

  • Cricket noise maker
This cricket noise maker was more than I was expecting. It makes so many more noises than just the cricket. I got this for my brother, he loves to annoy ppl with little jokes like this. He got great joy out of annoying his son and fiancee for a few weeks before taking it to work to annoy his coworkers. I wish it had a hard shell over the actual noise maker, its something I myself would easily damage the way it is and the on/off switch is very small. ... show more

  • Fun Little Toy But Sound Quality Could be Better
From the three or four I looked at before making a purchase, I looked for something that made the best cricket sound. This one beat the others as far as that goes, however, it was more loud than I expected. Some of the other sounds this item does, was of fair to good quality. One of the other sounds was of poor quality. Remote works very well and from a decent range. It does go off automatically but I didn't figure out how to prevent that so it would be remote use only. I'll have to go back and review the little brochure that came with it. I may have missed how to do this. ... show more

  • great for prank
I have always loved these kind of prank devices, especially for the office. I have purchased many of these in the past, but this one is a little different. This one comes with a remote and is very easy to use and can be easily controlled. It is very small so you can hide it is many different places. The battery life is pretty good, because it does not use much energy. ... show more

  • Annoying Fun
I had a similar item a few years ago, and this had some pros and cons in comparison. The volume and variety is a lot better, and the remote control is a nice addition as well. It does look a little unfinished (bare bones) and my previous one had a magnet, which I wish this one had. I'll probably add one just to make it easier to use. Overall, though, still a lot of fun. I imagine I'll lose this one for the same reason -- the victim being so irritated that when they find it, they destroy it. The rundown ... Quality -- Okay; a bit bare bones, but the remote looks snazzy. 4/5 Utility -- Works great; you'll have to make sure you're by yourself when you set it up, though. 5/5 Parity -- Good price for a fun prank. 5/5 ... show more

  • wrap it in toilet paper, then duct tape it, then put it in a sock
The media could not be loaded. the noises are obviously recorded and wont fool anyone. after my video, i left the device to sit in the other room. it does go off at random times, which is nice..but its very loud and very long and if anyone is standing anywhere near it when it goes off, it wont take them even 5 seconds to find it, or even 1 second of hearing it to know its a noise maker. i just had an idea though..i'm going to go put some tape on the speaker and see if i can't dull the noise and make it a better product...stay tuned: ok, ,it works. but i had to put some toilet paper on the speaker, then some duct tape. and then it depends on where you put it. if its going to be inside a couch, or between some folded blankets its good with the toilet paper and the tape. but if its going to be on a shelf or something out in the open where the noise is not obstructed, put it in a sock, or wrap it up with a cloth..then its the perfect volume and it will be just subtle enough to hear it, but not be able to pinpoint the location. i was going to give this 2 stars...but then i was able to fix it with some cloth and tape. if it was too low it wouldn't be fixable, but considering it was too loud, thats a good thing that means you can use this in truck or delivery vehicle. in other words, its loud enough to put under the seat of a coworker who drives a very loud car and since they'll be driving when it goes off, they wont be able to pinpoint the location. now that i thought of that use case, i'm going to view the loudness as a feature, not a negative. the other noises included should not have been included. they serve no purpose. so i'm only reviewing the cricket noise and i was woefully disappointed with the quality of the sound. theres no reason for it to sound like such a bad recording of a cricket. but i was able to dull it with the tp/tape/sock method and its pretty good now. considering the fun you can have with a little effort on your part, and the price point...i'm going 4 stars...because i'm a fan of my own work and i made it work. ... show more

  • What is a better way to ensure you have no friends!
This toy is great and borderline evil at the same time! I found this to be a great prank but there is fine line between a joke of annoyance and driving someone up a wall. If you are not sure where that line may fall I do not recommend using this with your friends, they may not want to be if they find out you're behind the noise. The noise options are nice to have but I think really only the cricket sounds real. Works great, the range is impressive and some of the noises are fairly realistic. ... show more
