  • Very nice! CFS Nano bolt instruction is the only thing not called out in the guides.
First two pro tips: The proper mounting holes for the bolts for the CFS Nano brackets are shown in two of my photos. The lowest set of holes in each gantry upright are where the shoulder bolts need to go. You replace the 2 existing bolts in each gantry upright. The bracket mounting holes for the top of the CFS unit are the open holes farther up the gantry. Again, you can easily identify them from my photos. I am calling these out because neither quick start guide nor the assembly video shows this. Also, the camera has a shield that you need to swivel out of the way for it to work. This also is not called out in the printer quick start guide. Having shared those tips, here is the rest of my review. This is a great printer! It is quiet, assembly and shipping were very well thought out. I have put together and built plenty of “gantry” style bed slinger printers. Nothing has compared to how easy this one was to assemble and get up and running. This is a very beginner friendly printer, and a welcome printer for seasoned advanced users. It was very easy to pull all the parts out and get it set up quickly. The gantry itself is mostly assembled and only requires around 12 screws to mount it to the printer bed. All the vibration critical screws have blue thread locker pre-installed on them. The included tool kit provides you with easy reach wrenches making tightening of each bolt very easy. Connecting the cables from the gantry to the bed is very easy. There is a hidden door under the bed that slides off. Inside is a set of connectors for each cable. They can only go in to each of the connectors they fit so no guess work. Once you have the complete printer assembled, the other CFS Nano guide covers most of that units assembly, except for where to place the screws. I put those pro tips at the beginning of my review because that is the only thing stopping you from using this great printer right away. Functionality wise this printer is simple and great. I found the touch screen responsive and very easy to use. Once the printer finished its self-calibration it was easy to add filament and print one of the test prints already included with the unit. The printer is incredibly quiet. It even has a “silent” mode (which I did not try) making it even quieter. I like the fact that the front of the printer has a light bar that marks the progress of your print. That way you do not have to keep waking up the printer screen to see how far it is. The double-sided PEI sheet your parts print on held my test part well. I did not have to preclean it at all. It just worked right out of the box. It was very easy to position on the printer to make sure it lined up correctly. ... show more

  • Impressive little multi-color workhorse with a few filament quirks
I got into 3D printing about six years ago with an old Ender 3 Pro and a couple of CR-6 SEs. While I mostly run CoreXY setups these days, I still have a soft spot for a straightforward bed-slinger, so I couldn't resist grabbing this one. Setup was painless and only took a few minutes. The build feels rock solid with clean lines and an almost futuristic look. The LED light bar showing real-time print progress is a great visual touch, and the machine runs surprisingly quiet, especially if you toggle on the night mode. On the software side, the mobile app makes checking in on prints from anywhere seamless, and the slicer feels right at home since it is based on Orca. Print speeds and motion handling are crazy good for what this costs. The built-in AI camera actually pulls its weight too, reliably spotting spaghetti and checking the build plate before a print wastes a whole spool of filament. My only real headaches come down to the compact multi-color feeder. The first slot has a glitch where it refuses to recognize loaded filament, constantly throwing a "no filament in port 1" error and forcing me to power cycle the module just to get it to release and swap spools. The PTFE tubing layout out of the box is also pretty awkward. The pre-cut tubes for ports 2 and 3 are too short to route cleanly, leaving a weird split in the line that makes no sense. I ended up ordering some bulk PTFE tubing to cut custom lengths straight to the module. Even with the feeding hiccups and needing to clean up the tubing path myself, you get a massive amount of machine for the money. The core hardware, speed, and automated features easily outweigh the minor annoyances, making it a fantastic buy if you want multi-color printing without losing half your desk space. ... show more

  • Highly recommended
Very impressive machine. The printer comes mainly pre-assembled. The gantry is fully assembled and so is the bed unit. Some work must be done to connect both with many screws and the electrical connectors. All went rather well and quickly. The CFS is simple to attach to the top of the gantry. Connecting the filament supports to the back is really easy once you figure it out. The instructions are very useful in putting it all together. I would use care as the numbers on the back of the CFS go from right to left. If you follow a pattern, it will be much easier long term to replace coils as you will not mess up the matching of filament with the ports. I started on bottom right with 1 and went CCW for 2, 3, and 4. Also these are the numbers that you select in the Creality Print software. Knowing the mapping will truly help you as the numbers on the back cannot be seen. The software is easy to download and install. The interface and workings resembles another more expensive brand but there are significant differences. There is plenty of help to get you going from community support and online videos. In addition to downloading the computer software, the printer will do many calibrations and a firmware update upon start up. I found the printer to be really quiet, bed and layer adhesion was excellent, and final product really clean and accurate. From within the software, you can search a vast community of projects to get yourself going. You can also import .3mf files externally from within the Creality Print software as desired. The world is your oyster. The is an excellent printer for beginners and advanced users. It allows printing high quality items in up to 4 colors without supervision. The price for this product is exceptionally good and I strongly recommend this printer. ... show more

  • Great Printer – Easy Setup, Excellent Prints, and Reliable After 200 Hours
I have about 200 hours of printing on this printer now, and so far it has been great. Setup was very easy, and I was able to get it up and printing without having to spend a bunch of time adjusting or troubleshooting things. Print quality has been excellent, and it has been very consistent. After roughly 200 hours, I haven't had any major issues, and it continues to put out great-looking prints. It's also very easy to use, which makes a big difference if you're printing regularly and don't want to constantly mess with the machine just to keep it running. I've also been impressed with what Creality has been doing with the software. They have continued to release updates, and the software has gotten noticeably better since I first started using the printer. It's nice to see them continuing to improve the machine instead of just releasing it and moving on to the next model. I run quite a few 3D printers, so I'm used to seeing the good and bad with different machines. This one has been a pleasant surprise. It's been reliable, easy to operate, and has produced consistently good prints over the first 200 hours. Overall, I'm very happy with it. Creality did a great job with this printer, and if it continues performing the way it has so far, I expect to put a lot more hours on it. ... show more

  • Nice little printer
I've been printing for 1 year so I'm relatively new to the process and my experience up to this point has been limited to the Bambu H2C (which is completely different than this Creality model). I have seen some reviews online of the unit being fully assembled, but it's worth noting that the one I received required assembly. It took around 45 min to fully complete it. The nozzle is easy to remove (a huge benefit) and they are inexpensive as well. The progress light bar at the front is very handy. My bambu has the same feature and it's nice to see it on a this model at a much much lower price point. The color monitor is nice. It allows you to enter the filament colors directly which is another high end feature. My first print was great! It came out smooth and looked clean. Bed adhesion was solid. Print speed was a little slower than my bambu but the difference was negligible. The bed heated properly and appears to heat evenly. So far, I'm very happy with this small convenient printer. It takes up far less space than my bambu and gets the job done. ... show more

  • Out of the box to first print in about an hour.
In a word, WOW! I have an Ender 3 that has given me more failed prints than good prints, to the point I was hesitant to order anything else from Creality. This came up as available and I decided to grab it. It took about an hour to assemble, set up and start printing the first print. The stamped sheet-metal parts need to be cleaned up before leaving the factory. Some of them are pretty sharp and exposed until it's assembled. The print quality is fantastic! One of the prints I tried on the Ender 3 failed miserably after about 6 hours into 10 hour print. The exact same print took less than 4 hours on this and printed nearly perfect! I'm just learning to use the Creality app on my phone. It's neat to be able to find a print in the app and send it to the printer. Hopefully I can figure out how to set prints into a Queue so I don't have to find them again later. ... show more
