My first 3D printer, and it just works After much comparison shopping I settled on the Creality HI Combo. Arrival and assembly: As a first time 3D printer novice I was pleasantly surprised at how well the printer was packaged. Assembly was straight forward, insert the gantry, secure six screws, connect a few well marked connectors and it was done in probably less than 10 minutes. Adding the CFS was also simple, The only question was which cable went into which port. As it turned out it didn't matter, but it would have been helpful to eliminate any confusion by providing information on this part. Placement of the CFS feeder also left a little too much to imagination. If I were to do it again, I would place the part a little lower on the side of the gantry (with the boudin tube coming out about mid point on the gantry). Overall a very sturdy piece of equipment. First startup: Turning on the printer and waiting for it to go through its initial startup process was fairly lengthy (I can only guess because I have no previous printer for comparison) but since it is only a one time event, it is what it is. The only issue was the printer runs through its complete diagnostics, then goes out to look for any updates. Of course it finds an update, installs it and then because it is updated it goes through the complete diagnostics a second time. I would think it would look for updates first then run diagnostics just once (It is a new toy and I was anxious to start playing). First run: I dispensed with running the standard tug boat test and proceeded directly to printing things I would actually use. Creality Print Software: I have no other slicer to make comparison, however I find the slicer fairly easy to work with, though not fully intuitive. There are many features and options to customize your projects some come with pop ups that briefly describe what the feature does, some are more cryptic, maybe it is just because I am new to the hobby. Some features have no pop up instructions, so I will just leave them at the default until I am more knowledgeable. 2 weeks of use: over the past two weeks I have printed 36 projects. The shortest was 8:13, and the longest was 8:18:27, with a total run time for all projects at 52:54:51. I printed 14 multicolor projects all with no errors or failures. The only change I made to the default settings was to change the layer height from 0.2mm to 0.12mm. This makes very nice prints with no apparent layer lines. Materials used for my projects: As a new comer I have only been using Creality filaments. Mostly Hyper-PLA, but also CR-Silk, and CR-PLA. Summary: As a new hobbiest, I am pleased with this purchase I find the addition of the CFS combo makes this a pleasure to operate. I would purchase this again , and would recommend it to others. My only issue is I would like Creality to provide a comprehensive user manual to include recommendations on maintenance and service items that I need to do to maintain the printer. This could be a PDF on their web site. Also I have not been able to figure out how to register the printer with Creality.

Dear Creality, I gave you ample warning and chances to fix your printer before I wrote this review. Printer was awesome out of the box. Loved it. Two weeks later I got an error and it won’t run. Contacted Creality. It’s the motor. Sending you one should take 12-14 days (got entire printer in a day but uhm ok). Got motor no instructions on how to replace. I managed to replace the motor and got the same error message. I contacted Creality for next steps. Their next steps was to replace the motor. I explained to them I had already done that. What are the next steps? They had none. I’m without a printer that I really wanted to get working as I said, I liked it. So I was left with no choice but to ask them to return my printer in which case they said, we are working on it. They have to get it going. As if providing me a shipping address is the responsibility of another department? And this is going to take time? Then they told me they won’t be able to refund me until they receive the printer. And if I need a printer soon, I should order a new one on Amazon. Well guess who’s printer company? I’m not going to buy from? I’m gonna assume they’re gonna make me pay shipping charges to China. I sincerely hope not. Through this all they kept offering me for my inconvenience two free rolls of filament. Filament mind you for a printer that doesn’t work and they don’t know how to fix. I’m not sure where you write a formal complaint to Amazon, but I’ll be working on that next.

I purchased this 3d Printer towards the end of May, beginning of June.... I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. I have an older Ender 3 Neo and have been having some issues with the settings, configuration and print speeds... When I finally got the machine running decent, it was just still way too slow.... I did some research and had discovered this Creality Hi and looked overall Ok... Made the purchase.... Then I started to print.... And then print... and then print some more.... I've gone through more filament in the first 2 weeks owning this new printer than I ever had with my Ender 3 Neo. Not in a bad way but in a GREAT way! This printer has been nothing but rock solid ever since I bought it... Never have I printed so many things for friends and family members. Super easy to use, Super easy to do Multi Color Prints.. Even when I did have a few issues, the Support Team at Creality has been nothing but supportive in the few cases that I have had to open. I've attached a number of things that I've printed (including some Dragons that I've to friends/family, and other critters for handouts at halloween, etc) as well as my MutliBoard organizational/building platform which couldn't at all be possible without the reliability of this printer. Out of the 105 days that I've had this printer, it's been printing for 75 days (This is TOTAL PRINT TIME)... That's nothing short of impressive in my book... I know we can only give up to 5 stars for the review, I'd give this 7 stars if I could!

This printer is very bipolar, and the highs are very high! The quality, speed and overall performance of the printer is great and the multicolor purposes are very straightforward and the software makes it so easy! The prints stick to the plate very well.. almost too well sometimes. The printer and multicolor storage don’t take up a lot of space (you might want its own separate desk table though) and the price is easily understandable with the high quality prints and multicolor purposes. But being a bipolar printer means that the lows are very low.. I’m currently on my third one within a couple months. The customer service has been great with exchanges/returns, but it’s been a mess trying to stick with the same one. The first one I couldn’t even assemble, because some of the screws holes were very poor and were easily stripped if not completely straight (which you cannot tighten any other screw otherwise it’s hard to assemble). The second one I got assembled fine, but after a couple weeks or so of printing, I got an error that basically said the foreign material was inside the x axis. Creality customer support was not much more help than the forums and I completely unassembled the x axis and reassembled and that worked for maybe a day until I got a different error that kept telling me to restart, but it still came up with it after every restart. Forums and support were not much help with this either. I returned that one, got another one, and now it’s going a few days strong with no issues (fingers crossed). I really love this printer because how simple everything is and it can do some very articulate designs. I’m hoping for the best, and I appreciate the customer supports helping me out!

I built my first 3D printer, an Anet A8M, so this is the first “ready to wear” printer for me. Out of the box, setup was quick and easy. I did a standard Benchy, for the first print out of the box, with default settings and compared to the Anet it is impressive. Print time was 40 minutes, compared to 72, for the Anet. No Z-banding. Circles were round, surfaces smooth, and overhangs clean - no warping or sag. Construction is solid. I don’t have a vibration tester, but shaking at the top of the gantry felt the same as at the base. Startup is simple, though it takes several minutes to go through the initial homing, bed-leveling, and initialization. You quickly learn the process for starting a new print. I had forgot to order filament spools, so I was unable to test the multi-color feed. The pause function is a lifesaver, though I wish it had the ability to rewind, by layers. Because I forgot filament, after the sample filament ran out I had to hand-feed scraps and filament from my 3D pen. As a result I didn’t realize I accidentally fed it ABS until the 3rd layer started peeling from the PLA. I was able to pause it, peel off the ABS, and feed more PLA, but because I couldn’t “rewind” 3 layers, the gap was too great for the new PLA to adhere to the old. In the end, it’s a great first-time 3D printer for someone who doesn’t have the knowledge and skill to build their own and just wants to print.

To Whom It May Concern, I purchased the Creality hi Combo with the CFS at the end of May with the intention of using it for multi-color printing. I initially planned to purchase the Bambu Lab A1 Combo, but opted for this unit under the assumption it would be a smoother transition, since I already own the Ender V3 KE and am familiar with Creality’s slicer and app ecosystem. That assumption turned out to be completely wrong. From the very beginning, this printer has been plagued with problems. Every print came out misaligned by several layers. After numerous resets and calibrations, I discovered the drive belt was completely loose—nowhere in the instruction manual does it mention that this needs to be manually tensioned. That is an unacceptable omission for a printer at this price point. After manually adjusting the belt, the printer began working—briefly. Now it violently slams the print head into the endstop after purging filament, making an extremely loud, damaging sound. On top of that, any print longer than three hours results in fault code FO0528, stating the printer is printing without extruding. I’ve tested extrusion manually and confirmed that it functions, yet the fault continues. Even worse, after clearing the fault and attempting to resume the print, it lifts the hot end too high and completely fails to adhere to the previous layer. The result? Wasted filament, wasted time, and a canceled print—again and again. The only workaround I’ve found is to remove the CFS system entirely and print with the filament directly on the printer, which defeats the entire point of buying the combo in the first place. I have tried every piece of troubleshooting advice I can find online and in the manual (which, frankly, is minimal and poorly written). Still, the issues persist. And what’s worse: there is no customer service number for the manufacturer, and your Amazon-provided warranty doesn’t take effect until the manufacturer’s warranty ends. So in reality, I paid extra for a warranty I can’t even use when I need it most. This entire experience has been nothing short of infuriating. I have wasted a tremendous amount of money—not only on the printer but on failed prints, wasted filament, and countless hours of my time. At this point, I feel scammed by both Creality and Amazon. This is the worst experience I’ve had with any tech product, and it’s made me seriously question the value of Amazon Prime. I would have been far better off purchasing from a reputable retailer like Micro Center, where they actually offer a real warranty, support, and a no-hassle return or exchange policy. I expect a full resolution immediately. That means either: • A replacement printer that actually works, • A full refund, or • Escalated support from a real human being with the authority to fix this. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to file a formal complaint and pursue this further. I refuse to be left stuck with a broken product and a useless warranty. I await your immediate response

Great printer, so far. I have been printing for years on both FDM and resin. I have stuck with Creality ever since because the printers have worked for me really well. My other FDM is a Ender 3. (Really old) That printer still works like new but is slow and small. I decided to get the K1 Max because it's supposed to be faster and has a larger print bed. So far I am really pleased. I've only had it for a few days but I am on my second roll of Hyper PLA by Creality. Setup was extremely simple and was up and running very quickly. It has a smooth plate but I have been using the glue stick that came with it and the adhesion has been great so far. I never had a printer that did the bed leveling by it's self and I have to say I really like it. Currently printing a Jeep that I am printing at 250% and it seems very accurate. The cons: The fans are very loud. The time lapse video is cool but not great, maybe it needs more lighting.

Needed a printer to replace my old S1 pro. I honestly bought the Creality Hi Combo printer because I could not get the Bambu A1 combo in time for some prints I HAD to have before Christmas. After setting it up (a process that took me about an hour after software dll compatibility issues not related to Creality) I printed a Minecraft creeper for my daughter to test it. I have to say I am very pleased overall. I have printed through the cloud with both the Creality cloud app on my phone and through the usb I have attached to the printer with files. (also available to use through the app) The CFS system is very easy to use. Yes, color changes do waste a bit of filament, but the prints are clean and look great. This is as close to plug and play as you can get without paying for a higher end Bambu system.
