I had an ender 3 v2 before and this machine fails way less often, at 10x the speed, less work to operate, etc. Seriously a great printer. Takes way less oversight, the filament doesn’t move the rest of the print.

It took me a few minutes longer than estimated to unpack and set mine up, but that's because I was taking it slow, and taking in the smells and allure of a new machine. I had previously had a Creality Ender 3 SE (I think that was the name) and this thing was leaps and bounds better. It is almost idiot-proof, which is a BIG plus for someone new to the world of 3D printing. The auto bed leveling really does do an amazing job, and the print speed, when using hyper filament, is superb. I have had this machine for a couple weeks so far, and I already have more than a couple days worth of print time on it printing everything from kids toys and desktop shelves, to mop/broom holders and measuring tape spools. If you're on the fence, about which machine to get and you're considering an Ender 3, speaking as someone that has had both, just pay the extra money and get the K1C... it's well worth the extra expense. ... show more

First off I was excited to get this 3d printer. When I got it I had to to put some of it together take out screws for some reason. I thought ok for the money I paid for this you would think it would come ready to go but ok. Then I hook it up go to print my first project and it gets clogged. I cleaned I thought maybe the temperature wasn’t right so I made sure the temperature was right and started over and it printed. Cool! I then started a new project and same thing it clogged mid print, I cleaned it started over made sure the temperature was right… clogged again this time it just quit working all together wouldn’t even feed the material through the extruder. I gave up I spent more time trying to fix it then having fun and printing projects. Out of 4 projects I started only one was completed. This printer is horrible save your money and the headache and buy something else. ... show more

I purchased this when I purchased and Elegoo Saturn and needed a larger Wash and Cure machine. This thing is huge and works great. I was able to 3d print and adapter to hand the Saturn’s build plate in the wash and cure. The build quality is great, very heavy duty.

I expected more from the K1C given the price tag and the generational improvements since the Ender series. It printed a Benchy test OK, but on the second print (and using stock settings), I suffered a really bad nozzle clog. No amount of pulling or pushing would free the filament, so I was forced to take the direct extruder apart. The issue appeared to be heat-creep up the Unicorn nozzle resulting in a blob of partially melted filament between the hobbed gears and the nozzle throat. Since then, I've had two more nozzle clogs on TPU filament - again using stock print settings... same blob issue. And the onboard camera won't focus, so it's difficult to see things like nozzle clogs. So the attempt to work around the issue was to try to connect to the K1C from a 3rd party slicer (SImplify 3D). That's when I discovered that you can't currently use anything but the Creality Print slicer/control app... 3rd party slicers are not supported and won't work (unlike on the Ender V3 WiFi-enabled printers). It appears a decision was made during design/development to prevent out-of-the-box use of anything but Creality Print, which is not satisfactory because it lacks many of the features available in an app like S3D. After trying to talk to the printer using ports :4080, :8080 and :80, I only could get “Connection Failed” and a cryptic message about “Creality doesn’t work properly without Javascript enabled.” Of course, I enabled JS, but still no joy. One chat with support later, and the result was a dead end… just a generic excuse that developers would have to enable it but you can try to do something on your own to make it work… only we can’t tell you what because the Developers haven’t told Support how to address it. I’m apparently not alone… as I see references to the same issue online. Some solutions proposed involve trying to "break" the OS with a hack that has the likely collateral of voiding the K1C warranty... so no thanks. Seems like a good example of feature regression in a relatively new product, and no urgency placed on responding to the user community’s complaints. Creality can do better - and they should do better for the price for this printer. ... show more
