  • 1 year later and still loving the K1C
This was my 1st 3d printer and there was definitely a learning curve. Once I learned how to use all the hardware and software features and how to calibrate the printer and each filament, it's been a dream. I like to tinker to this has been a great printer to work on, upgrade, and perfect. Love the fairly open source software and being able to use Fluidd to get full access to the firmware. It will print right out of the box but you'll get amazing prints once you level the bed, adjust belt tension, and calibrate each filament. You're paying for the printer, not the printing profiles. For the price, it's unbeatable. If you don't enjoy tinkering or problem solving, don't mind closed source, want almost perfect pre-made printing profiles, and don't mind paying double for that, then get a bambu. For anyone that is down to upgrade their printer and likes open source, the k1c is great. I print pla, petg, petg-cf, petg-gf, abs, asa, asa-cf, pa, pa-cf, pa-gf, tpu, and more on the k1c. ... show more

  • Horrible
First off I was excited to get this 3d printer. When I got it I had to to put some of it together take out screws for some reason. I thought ok for the money I paid for this you would think it would come ready to go but ok. Then I hook it up go to print my first project and it gets clogged. I cleaned I thought maybe the temperature wasn’t right so I made sure the temperature was right and started over and it printed. Cool! I then started a new project and same thing it clogged mid print, I cleaned it started over made sure the temperature was right… clogged again this time it just quit working all together wouldn’t even feed the material through the extruder. I gave up I spent more time trying to fix it then having fun and printing projects. Out of 4 projects I started only one was completed. This printer is horrible save your money and the headache and buy something else. ... show more

  • No nonsense, out of the box printer
It took me a few minutes longer than estimated to unpack and set mine up, but that's because I was taking it slow, and taking in the smells and allure of a new machine. I had previously had a Creality Ender 3 SE (I think that was the name) and this thing was leaps and bounds better. It is almost idiot-proof, which is a BIG plus for someone new to the world of 3D printing. The auto bed leveling really does do an amazing job, and the print speed, when using hyper filament, is superb. I have had this machine for a couple weeks so far, and I already have more than a couple days worth of print time on it printing everything from kids toys and desktop shelves, to mop/broom holders and measuring tape spools. If you're on the fence, about which machine to get and you're considering an Ender 3, speaking as someone that has had both, just pay the extra money and get the K1C... it's well worth the extra expense. ... show more

  • Good starter printer
It comes ready for anyone who is starting out in 3d printing, it will save you the hassle of the other printers. It's worth it.

  • Speed, this one factor is a game changer.
I have to say this K1C has been such a wonderful machine to work with. It’s quiet and produce wonderful prints. It is very easy to use. Controlling it from the app is such a delight. But the biggest plus is the print speed. I have an ender 3 and an ender 6se. This new machine makes them look like turtles as far as print speed. The print in the picture would have taken me over 2 weeks with the older machines but with the K1C I was able to complete all this in less than 7 days. Now I’m saving up to get the K1max for the bigger build volume. I highly recommend this machine to anybody that asks. ... show more

  • Quick and precise parts
I had an ender 3 v2 before and this machine fails way less often, at 10x the speed, less work to operate, etc. Seriously a great printer. Takes way less oversight, the filament doesn’t move the rest of the print.

  • Good printer, but needs some improvements.
This is a good printer, but I think it has to have some more improvements to it, like the X axis slider near the lower end of the screws that is near the timing belt holders, but thanks to the after sales department, I was able to get a replacement for the X axis slider. It is a great printer with pretty good print quality, the bed adhesion is good, but the initial bed magnet on the build plate was ok, but it did burn on the side. The ease of assembly is good, aside from the initial extruder motor, however, I really hope that future sales of this printer will not have hot glue on the connectors that lead to the hot end replacements on the adapter board with the thermostat wire or the extruder connection. Value for the money is pretty good. The functionality is good with a wi fi connection. The accuracy is a pretty good thing, but it does need some work that I mentioned in this review. ... show more

  • Learning curve
No one taught me how to use a 3d printer, or told me what kind to get, or which filament to use, or what I can or cant print with this device, or how to do slicing or supports. But I guess its not up to the device manufacturer or product sales to do that. This has been the worst purchase Ive ever made and I was extremely excited about it. But I have learned since spending this money that I will never learn this skill and it was absolutely money wasted. Do not purchase this unless you have a lot of time and money to put into it ... show more
