  • Has everything without needing upgrades
Has everything you need right out of the box. Took about 15 minutes to set up, bed leveling was easy enough. Set temps to what the pla manufacturer recommended and let it go. Great print quality. Punches well about its weight. This was my first printer and have only had success with it. With the printer running so well it gives me time to tweak the things that need it rather than pouring all my time into a finicky printer. ... show more

  • Dead on Arrival *UPDATED*
Unit shipped with non-functional power supply, returned for replacement. Will update review if replacement works. UPDATE: Replacement works, though still seems to ship with the voltage set to EU, so be sure to check that prior to plugging in (that wasn't the issue with the first unit I received, which was just dead). Overall a solid hobby printer out of the box. Assembly took about 30min, and after a quick bed level it was off and running. The bed does unlevel fairly quickly, however, so a star off for that, though based on research this issue seems to vary by unit. Considering the price, and the upgrades over V1, I'd still recommend it if you have previous experience with 3D printing and don't mind working out some of the quirks on your own. ... show more

  • Amazing 3D Printer
This is my first 3D printer and my first time using one. Getting started was difficult and I was having a lot of problems with getting my prints to work. I spent several hours adjusting the bed and changing settings and printing various objects until I finally got the hang of it. You gotta take the time to make sure the bed is perfectly level. Now my prints are coming out perfect. ... show more

  • My first 3d printer
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE July 1st, 2020 It hasn't been a year yet and I've had to replace so many parts on this thing I feel like I could just build my own 3d printer. I contacted customer service to replace the wire for one of the motors and I never received it. Ended up buying a replacement from their store because it never came. The printer bed became warped and prints stopped adhering to it in random spots. One of the fans for the hotend stopped working and the thermistor needs to be replaced because it stopped sensing the temperature. For $500 the durability of this machine is awful. Plus the cost of buying replacement parts and fixing it yourself is not worth it. I bought this 3d printer to print the stones from the Fifth Element. The program it came with easily converted the files from thingiverse. Assembly was a bit weird because the instructions weren't clear at some points. I had to attach the feet of the base myself even though the instructions didn't mention it. Also if you're attaching the pull rod to the base make sure to remove the rubber covers that hide the screw holes. (see pics) Other than that, it was smooth sailing. I used a piece of paper to level the plate (I scratched the top a bit, yikes, such a noob lol) I had some trouble inserting the filament in the filament sensor so I cut off the end of it again to make sure it was straight. The first layer of the print was quite mesmerizing (and relieving knowing I didn't screw up the leveling part!) It's been running for about 10 hours without any problems. I don't have any other 3D printers to compare it to, but it's very quiet that I can't tell its running in the next room. Just to be safe I have it in an enclosed room with an open window and an air purifier running. If I ever run into any problems I'll give an update. Overall I'm very excited to start future projects with this printer! ... show more

  • Print quality, size, cost
I've had 2 Ender 3 and had great luck with those. This is very similar but seems sturdier and smoother. Definitely larger. Highly recommended.

  • It’s a Workhorse.
This is truly amazing, it is a workhorse printer. My primary printer to goto, highly recommend for anyone looking for large build surface printer. However it does have a few cons: customer service is well not the best, takes forever to heat the bed to 85C. Upgrade the fans as soon as possible. Makes amazing prints. ... show more

  • I'm happy with it for my first one
The negative reviews made me nervous. I waited much longer than I should have to buy this bad boy. It's not turn It on and go, but for what it is.... It kinda is. I didn't have a warped build plate either, so that was nice. Memory card went bad after a few weeks, but support was on it. Sent me one out right away. I would have given it 5 stars had the instructions not been soooo vague. Can't really complain other than that. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and works pretty well
Set up was a breeze, and was able to get decent prints right out of the box. Calibration was fair, but needs some tweaking to get tight tolerances. Had a hard time finding info and scanning the UPC on the printer, and docs sent me to a Chinese webpage. No way to figure out how to get to an english page:-( ... show more
