  • Excellent high quality well made!!
Color: New York City Scooter (NYC) - Plum
Okay I got mine it's the New Yorker it's purple and I have it's been close to 30 years since I've been trying to put myself on any kind of Wheels other than a car or a bicycle never learned how to skate or use a skateboard and this product I was wobbly at first LOL but I got it down sort of and I bought it so I can write out of my residential area to go to the nearest bus stop it has a shoulder strap on it it's lightweight compared to some that I've actually held in the past when I bought one for my son years ago this one's really nice the tires are amazing it's a very smooth and comfortable ride even going over a lumpy bumpy cobblestones and asphalt all that fun stuff I fully recommend you getting it and if you're going to be doing like you know many blocks in it I really recommend the New Yorker and also and if you're tall that was a thing that sold me the height extension goes up to like 43.5 or whatever and it was perfect for me cuz I'm 6 ft tall so that really felt comfortable and amazing I didn't have to slouch to use it or anything like that and I'm sorry I didn't take a picture ... show more

  • Great scooter...once you take off the kickstand :)
My little girl graduated from a kid Razor to this. The first one was defective, but the replacement was perfect (size-wise) and it rides well. The wheel bearings roll smoothly and the larger wheels give a more comfortable ride. As noted in other reviews, I ended up taking off the kickstand because it caused clearance issues when going over larger bumps or up and down driveway ramps (between sidewalk and street). The kickstand is mounted under the unit and the standing platform is long. There's already not that much clearance underneath so as you go over a bump (front wheel on one side of the bump, rear still on the other), the kickstand catches and can cause you to loose control. Once I took it off, it was much better. It seems sturdy, but depending on user, it does take some muscle to slide the handle up to fold / unfold the unit. Because it can fold up for carrying, I wouldn't be too aggressive on the ride because the spring loaded pins that keep it folded or unfolded are the weak points. ... show more

  • Well Made
Color: London Scooter (LON) - Red
I had ordered one of these first for my youngest daughter and saw that it was well made and couldn’t get her to stop riding it. So I ordered 2 more so we could ride at our local park. I think these are well made for the price. Very sturdy. Folds up and down very easily . I think they weigh between 12-15lbs because one is youth and the others are adult. Like I said, very sturdy. You can adjust the height very easily as well. The ride is fairly smooth depending on the surface you are riding on. Yes, you can sort of ride these on low-cut grass fields because of the large wheels. The foot brake seems fairly strong to stop quickly. - For some reason only one model has the handbrake and I think only the youth sizes have the kickstand. But overall, very good for the price. - FYI, be careful when ordering from the website when it comes to the sizes. For some reason when it says youth or adult some of the sizes don’t match. You have to go by the size. Pay close attention to the length of the board, that’s a give away as to whether it is youth or adult size. ... show more

  • Great scooter
Color: Tokyo Scooter (TYO) - Black
I bought this because my 5 yr old wanted me to go on scooter rides with her. I’m 5’4 155# and this scooter fits me great. Feels solidly built, the folding mechanism works great and the little kickstand is a nice touch. The bigger wheels make for a nice smooth ride. Its actually way more fun than I thought it would be. Great bigger kid or adult scooter. ... show more

  • Great scooter with a possible design flaw
The scooter was great until a couple weeks ago. My son was riding it and the handle bar post snapped lean in two. I don't know if this is a known defect in the design or not, but I've never seen a clean break happen on a scooter like that. My son did get a year and a few months put of it though..just glad he didn't get hurt when It broke like that. ... show more

  • London Gold City Series
Color: London Scooter (LON) - Gold
I am reviewing London Gold scooter. I don’t have much experience with scooters, if any. Last time I rode a scooter I was 8 years old. 30 years later I have to keep up with my 8yo who rides Razor A5 DLX. Both are bigger scooters, suitable for adults. and I am able to ride both. DLX is much smaller, shorter and lighter, the max height of the handlebar is barely tall enough for me (I’m 5’8”). I purchased London model and have been riding it for a few days. I was pretty impressed with the quality of the scooter out of the box. I am not sure how it will hold up long term, but I plan to put it to good use this summer. The coolest thing about this scooter is the folding mechanism - it’s triggered with the loop at the top of the steering bar, so no bending; when folded, front wheel is locked between the extensions of the deck - no swinging around and hitting my ankles. I tested the trolley function at a local grocery store: you have to be careful not to scrape the ends of the deck that “hug” the front wheel, otherwise it is very nice if you don’t want to leave the scooter outside. It is a heavy scooter. It is also larger than most teen/adult scooters around. My kid can ride and haul around most of teen/adult scooters, but not this one. Also, the handlebar extends higher than in most scooters. Lowest position worked for a 10 year old, but barely. I can use both 1st and 2nd positioning hole, depending on the style of riding applied, but 1st hole is the most comfortable. I think it is really an adult scooter, 3rd hole (the highest) can suit a pretty tall person. Wheels are larger than average 200mm. I was hesitant to get 230mm front wheel, so 215mm was just perfect. The thing I like the least about this scooter is the break. It requires quite a bit of effort. It’s a lot easier to slow down and stop on the Razor scooter. The ride is smooth and effortless on the smooth surfaces. You are going to feel every bump on the rough sidewalk. I don’t get stuck in small cracks or trip over small stones, but obviously I have to avoid big cracks and potholes. Razor has traditional foam handles, while London has cool rubber grips which definitely don’t help to mute the vibration from the bumpy ride. Although rubber grips provide a more secure hold for sure. Just from riding Razor A5 DLX and London scooter, it appears that London model requires more effort to push, maybe it’s due to its weight or the fact that the deck is slightly higher off the ground. But cruising downhill is amazing. So, to me it’s a wonderful high quality adult cruising scooter suitable for a tall adult/teen. It has a couple of weaknesses but it’s a better scooter than others I have researched. It lived up to my (high) expectations, so far. I wish I could try out the other 2 models, especially NYC. I was not paid or reimbursed in any way to provide this review. ... show more
