likes (probably the same for all electric powered mowers): * very lightweight - even my 98 lb daughter-n-law liked it when we were out of town * very maneuverable/transportable - no problem picking it up to move around an obstacle or moving it to another location * good battery life so far (2 months or so after purchase) - recharges in relatively small period of time (less than 6 hrs) * don't have to deal with the hazards of gas cans - keeping that ticking time bomb in my garage - going to fill it up and transporting it - getting gas on my hands - etc * surprisingly decent torque through the cut most the time as compared to gas powered engines - although don't miss a mowing or any electric mower will struggle to catch up * eliminates noise pollution - don't need ear plugs to operate and won't wake up the wife at 6 am - the wife loves this and is her fav part of this new mower - notice it's my #5 "like" Neutral opinion * reduces carbon emissions at your property - which your trees/bushes/plants will HATE you for - it does NOT actually reduce the overall carbon emissions since it uses more electricity - which mostly comes from fossil fueled power plants which must burn more carbon-based fuels in order to generate the added power that this electric mower needs - God created the real "circle of life" - carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are needed by plant life to generate oxygen which animal life needs - which then generates CO2 which plant life needs... Regardless of all the "CO2 is building green-house gas CNN BS", The earth's atmosphere air balance remains CONSTANT for the last 300 years that it has been measured - 20.9% O2 / 78.1% N / 0.9% Ar / 0.1% water vapor plus minute mathematically negligible traces of other gases such as CO2 - Ar at less than 1% volume is about 23 times more abundant than CO2 which all plant life on our planet NEEDS to generate O2 that animal life needs - so why are people actually trying to reduce CO2????????? I have to give this mower 5 stars. Yes, it’s a lot of plastic, and very lightweight. Yes, the handle is angled high at a fixed pitch (but you could just drill a couple of holes in the tubing to lower it), but for me at 6’ plus, it’s almost perfect. No, it’s not heavy duty or high-powered, but it’s not sold or marketed that way. So it’s not pretending to be something it isn’t. Box was delivered intact (and that’s not always the case Amazon). Out of the box assembly took less than 5 minutes. I bought this mower to put at my partner’s other house. Ever since her last gardener retired, she’s had difficulty finding a good, reliable successor. So I took over those duties recently. She bought a used 120v mower, but it was something of a PITA. It worked fine, but the cord was always in the way. So I started looking for battery mowers, preferably Craftsman, since I had already bought her an edger, blower and other battery tools. I hadn’t looked at battery mowers in a long time, so I was pleasantly surprised at the specs on this model. I bought a couple of higher capacity batteries to make sure there would be plenty of power. Her lawn is not huge. The back, very flat yard is about 100’ x 75’, and the front is about half that size but inclined. I mow every week so the grass doesn’t get too high, which means the mower doesn’t have to work too hard. The grass catcher is smaller than the one on the 120v model. I have to empty it twice for the back yard and once for the front yard. I like that it has a small handle strap on the back. Makes it easy to empty. The mower cuts the grass cleanly, doesn’t clog up, and gets through the entire yard on a single charge of two batteries with plenty of power to spare. I recommend blowing out the battery compartment with a blower before inserting or removing batteries. Grass clippings definitely get in there. If there’s a con to this mower, it may be that it’s too quiet. It’s significantly quieter than any gas engine mower, and quite a bit quieter than the 120v. You won’t feel bad and your neighbors won’t mind you mowing the lawn early on a Sunday morning. In fact, it’s so quiet that for the first time mowing a lawn, I can still hear my tinnitus (that’s the “con”). If I run into any problems long term, I will update my review. But for now, this is a definite thumbs up.

Works well if you have realistic expectations. First off, it's powerful. Certainly more powerful than my old 5 horsepower gasoline powered mower ever was. I'm on a 1/2 acre lot and can mow my front and back yard on a single charge with the included 5AH batteries, but just barely. If the grass is wet or extra tall then I have to change out batteries or let the batteries charge for a bit. My only real complaint is that the blade speed is MUCH slower than a gasoline mower. This makes sense as electric motors have more torque, so increased speed would just reduce battery life... but it's also a bit annoying as it doesn't throw grass as well as gas alternatives. It tends to leave wind-rows of grass, and tends to clog up with grass quite easily if the grass is damp. Realistically, this mower makes a lot of sense for people who already have various craftsman power tools, batteries, and chargers. I'd probably choose a different one if I hadn't already bought into the craftsman eco-system. Dropping one star because the included chargers don't match the pictures and don't mount to a wall very well.

This mower is light weight, easy to use, does a great job and the batteries last for a long time. I can mow my front and back yard, as well as use one of the batteries to use my craftsman weed eater, on one charge. I love not having to fill the oil and fuel, or have to pull start like the mowers I’ve had before.

Straight junk. Craftsman was once a great company but now everything I buy from them is low quality. Used this mower three times since purchased and it’s already dead. As a disabled vet, I don’t have the money to purchase again.

The mower cuts our lawn as well as the old Honda gas mower. 1 hr battery life as advertised. The light weight is amazing. Much easier to maneuver than the old ICE machine. Much quieter. No more gasoline, oil and filter changes. Instant start with a button. Pays for itself in 5 years by avoiding tune ups.

I needed a battery power mower that I could push with my Arthritis so I chose Craftsman 20V. I already have most of their power tools in the 20V family, so it was an easy decision. My yard was more than overgrown and I had no time to waste. I was not kind to the mower. I asked it to get through all of the 3 foot grass and weeds (but not any kind of thick brush or strong vines). When it arrived I found two batteries that were at fifty percent, which I expected. I charged up the two batteries, while using my 20V 1.5ah batteries to get started. I'm coming from a Craftsman Reel mower and really appreciate a light weight sling blade that doesn't pick up rocks and throw them through the neighbor's windows.🤣 It's very quiet and last quite a while! CAUTION; If you like having a large horsepower mower, you will not like this as it cannot power through whatever is underneath it. I've been mowing lawns for 50 years. So I knew how to finesse the batteries and not overwork them. The pictures speak for themselves!

Used on a small yard and didn’t need a gasoline engine based on size. Does an acceptable job and meets my needs. Definitely would not use on larger yards or one with thick, dense grass. Has a higher gear that will automatically adjust to when mowing thicker grass, however uses more battery in this gear. Would like to be able to adjust to higher gear manually as I feel the cut would be better and battery life is more than sufficient for my size yard, takes approximately 30 minutes to mow. Storage friendly. Would have given additional stars if cut was better. Update - 7/18/2025: Difficult to find replacement blade?
