  • Chickens best winter friend!
Style: Heater
My big hens and my little fancy roosters love to snuggle up to this panel. I have peace of mind knowing they are safe and warm on those cold winter nights. I have left it on for days on end (by mistake) and after a year it's still working perfectly

  • Works great indoors!
Style: Heater
Before purchasing this, I had asked if anyone used it indoors for pet birds. I received positive feedback that it could work and it does! It hangs on the wall and has two settings, low and high. I am using low and have it positioned behind the bird cage for my budgies. It is large enough to heat the cage, but one side that is away from the heater is still cooler in case they get too hot. It uses radiant heat, so you won't feel a difference in the air. If you hold your hand in front of it for a while, you will feel the warmth. The back gets warm to the touch but it is supposed to not be a fire hazard at all and I believe that to be true. The front gets pretty hot to the touch, so this must be outside the cage and away from where the birds will land. It also comes with feet, which we use at night. We put the birds in the bathroom so it is dark and quiet, and also a warmer room. The heater stands on its feet on the counter. I am so glad I bought this heater, as my birds were cold all day before. You could definitely use this under a desk as a leg warmer, but it will not warm a room, only things that are within a couple feet of it. ... show more

  • What a steal at $38.00!!! What a steal at $38.00!!!

UPDATE: As of 1/1/20 Customer service got back to me within about 24 hours and they will be replacing my heater with a brand new one, which is awesome! I am however still a bit discouraged the unit went out so quickly but my other one still works just fine. I can’t really say how long these panels will last but their customer service is very good. All told I give the product itself a 4 star and the customer service a 5 star but I will update if I have any additional problems. UPDATE: 12/29/2019 I’ve been using this product in my coop for a little over 2 months and one of my warmers is completely dead. I have contacted the manufacturer and I’m waiting to hear back for replacement. I’m changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star until I hear back from the manufacturer. I started off loving this product but now I’m a bit more skeptical, a product should last long than 2 months in my opinion and I doubt I would ever purchase again. I will give another update when I hear back from my warranty claim. Hopefully their customer service is up to par. So far I just love this coop heater! It’s much safer than a conventional heat lamp which left unattended or improperly installed can catch your coop and or house on fire. My goal was to keep my coop above freezing during the cold winter nights which I’d have to say these have delivered as promised. My coop stays very comfortable, you don’t want your coop 70 degrees at night, chickens do very well in cold weather and any nighttime temperature in the 30’s or 40’s is ideal. They can withstand much lower than that but combs can get frostbite if it stays in the teens or single digits for too long. I would highly recommend this product, for $38 bucks I believe this is a steal and it’s worked very well for me and my flock. ... show more

  • Very good heater
Style: Heater
The delivery time of this product was excellent. The heater works very well and the chickens seem to gravitate to it. I was worried about the possibility of a fire in the coop but the heater is only warm to the touch but gives up enough heat to keep the chickens comfortable. They even decided to lay their eggs below it. I would highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Great heater!
Style: Heater
I am a new chicken mom who needed to figure out how to get my 6 week old chicks out of my house and into their coop before the weather warmed up. They are poop machines and needed to be in a bigger space. I have to say I was nervous about this heater because of the reviewer who posted pictures of her burned up unit and description of her dead chickens. It took me a week but I decided to buy it. I’m so pleased with this heater. I’ve had it running for 2 weeks, on both low and high, and it works beautifully! It is quite hot to the touch; however that hasn’t stopped my chicks from roosting on it and sitting fairly close to it. I’ve used it down to 28 degrees and the chicks have been fine. I have it hanging on the coop wall next to their roost. I don’t have it near any pine shavings so I can’t speak to its safety regarding that. I also like that the cord is wrapped in a metal spring like thing that is suppose to keep the chicks from pecking the cord and damaging it. The only problem I’ve had is that the chicks turned the unit off once by stepping on the on/off switch. Problem solved by affixing it to the coop wall away from chicken feet. ... show more

  • Outside Cat Heater
Style: Heater
My outside (semi-feral) cats love their heater in their house. This thing keeps their house so cozy and warm. I absolutely love the flat design so it doesn't take up much space in the dog house I purchased for them. There's no noise associated with it. It doesn't get to hot for my cats but it does get "warm". At the end of winter here in Virginia I remove it and clean it easily with a damp rag and dry it and store it away for the summer and put it back in the house box late fall, early winter. I've ordered 2 because I want to make sure I have a spare. The cost of it was amazing. I would order again and again. ... show more

  • Buyer beware my fellow chicken peeps. Purchase from a different vendor. C
Style: Heater
Heed the warnings from other purchasers. I believe the way the vendor laid out their page was deliberately done to mislead the consumer. I had purchased a Cozy Coop heater in the past. It was a large squar-ish item, solidly built (it is shown in one of the displayed pics). I clicked the buy again button & got a tiny 8×19 panel, by Cozy Chickens, that is cheaply made & looks like a children's toy. Whether or not they share the same parent company is irrelevant. The quality is not there (cheap unfinished, open faced, plastic on the back), the size is tiny (8 inches tall), small (4 inch) unstable L brackets for legs, no safety shut off, & a warning on the box saying it leaches DEHP, a cancer causing agent. The product sent would be incapable of doing what a chicken owner would expect for a coop. My girls safety is to important to me. Definitely going back. If you're looking for quality, safety, & longevity, may I suggest a Sweeter Heater. But as chicken people you probably already know of them. ... show more

  • Surprisingly impressed Surprisingly impressed
Style: Heater
Had a red heat lamp in coop for several years and I was always terrified I’d wake up to my coop burned down . Very unsafe but I got lucky all those years. This year I decided no more of that. I know chickens are pretty hardy without added heat, but Wisconsin winters can get really cold at times. I hung this on the wall closest to the roost bar. I wrap most of the outside of coop in plastic which helps retain warmth to, but turning this heater on high would keep coop about 20 degrees warmer at night. I have a TempStick (highly recommend) in the coop on the opposite wall from this heater that gives me hourly readings of temp and humidity so I see the warmth this heater gives off. It was a pretty mild winter here but when it was -2 degrees outside it was 25degrees in my 4x6x6 coop with this thing going. If you have a really big coop you might need a couple of these. I’ve put my hand on it when it’s on and it’s hot, but not hot enough to start straw on fire. I only turn it on on nights when temps drop below 10 degrees. I would not recommend putting this where water gets. I run the cord out of the coop to an extension cord in a dry covered run. It has a switch on the cord that allows you to turn two heat settings, low and high, and off. Love it! Peace of mind is priceless. ... show more
