Thank you so much Gloria! back to having my favorite ice This ice maker was fantastic for the first 6 months. It made ice quickly, was easy to use, and looked great on the counter. I was genuinely impressed and really enjoyed using it daily. Unfortunately, it suddenly stopped working. It still powers on and makes loud noises like it’s trying to make ice, but nothing ever comes out. I’ve tried cleaning and restarting it, but nothing helps. It’s disappointing, especially since I took good care of it and expected it to last longer. I really loved this product while it worked, and I wish it had held up better over time.

Purchased July 2024, worked great. Most reviews said it was loud, not gonna lie, it’s noisy, so I placed it in my pantry and all was well, even though I could still hear it. It got louder and louder until all I got was an extremely loud buzzing sound, louder than my smoke alarm. Afraid it would catch fire, ( outside was extremely hot to touch) I unplugged it and haven’t used it since. I’ve contacted the company for a replacement, left a message. They returned my call within 5 minutes, texted me instructions to clean the ice maker with vinegar and purified water x3. Will update after this is done. Update: I cleaned the ice maker as instructed, it got worse and stopped making ice. I sent a video to the company showing the water in the reservoir and the machine on and all it would do was squealing noises. They texted me back and asked if I wanted a replacement, I had it within 3 days. Great customer service! Update: I followed the cleaning instructions, and the ice maker is working like a boss. Would upgrade to 4 stars if I could. Customer service was great.

This was by far one of the best purchases we ever made. The ice is perfect for crunching and slushing. We use this daily and take it with us when we travel. It is a little noisy BUT worth it. We only use purified water and have not had a problem yet. Would purchase again!

We liked the ice it was producing, but really expected it to last longer. Based on other reviews, I guess we were lucky it lasted this long. It started making a horrible high pitched grinding gear noise that was intolerable. Anyway we turned it off and into the garbage bin it goes. It’s CRAP! The seller offered to replace the ice machine after seeing this review. The replacement was delivered promptly and has been working perfectly. You don’t see this type of customer service anymore. Very impressive. Hope the little machine keeps putting out ice.

Machine produces soft chewable ice as advertised. Machine is compact and fits on counter nicely. Has a pleasant appearance. It is easy to use and the making of ice is fairly self explanatory. Basically fill reservoir with water and push the button. While the following is not a deal breaker for me there may be a couple of things to consider before buying. 1. While it does have a self cleaning mode it may not be as easy as implied. Yes it will cycle thru cleansing water at the push of a button but the cleaning process doesn’t end there. The manufacturer does claim the machine portable it still is over 20 pounds. For elderly people or people with mobility issues such as arthritis this may pose an issue. I mention this because the second step in the cleaning process requires you to move the machine to a sink or to the edge of the counter to place a vessel underneath to drain the water. This also requires you locate and remove the drain plug under the machine. You halve to do this by feel since you can’t just turn the machine over to see what your doing. Again if you have arthritis or are elderly this may not be easy as it sounds. Replacing the plug can also be cumbersome and create a leak if not done properly. 2. Yes you start getting ice relatively quickly in 10 mins or so but not enough to write home about. It takes 20-30 mins to get enough ice to make a cold drink. 3. If you fill the reservoir to the max line it takes around 90 mins to run out of water. Ironically a full reservoir of water does not produce enough ice to fill the ice bucket. 3. The machine does have an indicator to tell you when the ice is full but why do you need it if the machine requires you to refill the water before then? Why not empty the bucket when you refill the machine with water? As far as durability only time will tell.

The only thing I don’t like (and this is minor) is that you do have to shuffle the ice in the hopper about every 40 minutes or it builds up and shuts off. I knew that when I bought and it does say that on the instructions so it’s not a big deal. Would buy it again. Starts making ice in 10 minutes and fills the bucket in about 90 minutes or so. We make a batch and then toss it in the freezer in a thick zip-lock bag. Some people complained that when you freeze it, it turns into a big chunk. We get around this by (1) draining any melt water before placing in the zip-lock and (2) taking it back out about 20 minutes after initially putting it in the freezer and tapping it on the counter to break it up a bit. Then we toss it back in the freezer and that seems to keep it ready to use out of the bag. This was a bit of an impulse buy, but we like it a lot!

This machine did not last! It stopped producing ice and has internal grinding noises. I contacted the manufacturer and was told it was out of warranty (1 year and 2 months) so basically there was nothing they could do! Choose another brand- I don’t recommend this product or their customer service at all!!

I bought this ice machine, not knowing what to expect. Our ice maker on our fridge went out. So I was buying sonic ice. But I had seen these that make crushed ice. And thought I would like to try one. But they were very expensive. But then I seen this one with $50.00 off and decided to try it. It's great. It will pay for it's self in a few months, of not buying ice from sonic.it makes a good amount of ice each day. And it only took about 5 mins to start making ice the 1st time. It has a signal that lets you know when to add water and when its full of ice.It's very easy to operate and it makes good ice. It's a bit noisy sometimes. But nothing to loud. It fits on top of my counter perfectly. It's a good little machine and worth the money. And I don't give a lot of good reviews. Thumbs up! Updated 01/19/25 my ice machine went completely out. I cleaned it again thinking this would fix it. But it did not. So in the pamphlet that came with the machine, was a phone number. I called customer service and the things I had to do. 1st take a video of it after showing the time. 2nd plug it in and 24 mins later take more video of the machine, had to video the front of machine then show the water inside the machine, then put my hand by the fan on the side of it and say if it was blowing hot cold or no air. Then video the back of machine. So I did everything I was ask to do. The next day I got a text asking me for the order # again. I sent a text back with the # but I ask how long the process took to receive a new unit ? I was told 3 to 4 business days to go over my warranty options and then they will let me know something. I jump through hoops to get all this info to them. And I still don't know if they are going to replace the machine . I have not even had this machine for a year. So I'm not so sure about this being a great deal after all.
