Purchased Feb 2024, April 2025 horrific, metallic squeal started. No successful attempts, letting it cool in unplugged status, could not use cleaning feature - though had used cleaning cycle 2 weeks prior. No contact info for reaching Cowsar Customer Service directly. Pricey to last just 14 months of part-time use and well maintained. Highly disappointed.

Great nugget ice maker works really well my wife wanted an ice maker that made ice just like chick fila little nugget ice and this does a great job and she loves it , yes it does take a little bit to make the ice but once it gets going it fills up the tray in no time ,only complaint I do have is you have to monitor it every now and then to stir the ice so that is doesn’t build a little tower up to where the ice comes out it stops it until you move the ice away from the ramp but it’s not really a big deal for me over all I’d say it’s worth it

My wife is a water and ice connoisseur. We picked this machine for the nugget style ice, bigger capacity tray and ease of access. This thing is a staple in our daily life. Usually one of the things you push on with the coffee in the morning. Makes ice pretty quick, holds about 3-4 solid cups of ice, quiet enough to only hear when in the kitchen around it. Overall an excellent purchase and we’ve gotten plenty of use out of it. I’m writing this review about 10 months after purchase because the compressor did start to make more noise. I contacted support, they were awesome to suggest a fix and help me out to resolve my issue. 10/10, making nugget ice again.

I bought this 02/2024 and it lasted about a year. Last week it started freezing up around where the ice comes out causing the part that spins to push the ice out to grind and stop turning creating a huge wracket. I let it thaw, and it works again for a few hours before happening. Now there is a gross greasy film all over where the ice comes out and in the reservoir, meaning it's in the ice as well so I can't use it at all. I've kept it cleaned weekly using vinegar. We're going to try to dismantle it to see if it needs a more thorough cleaning, but I'm not sure it's going to work. Quite expensive to only work for a year. While it worked it was amazing, the perfect kind of ice. Only thing I didn't like is you have to pull out the ice bucket to refill the water. Others have it to where you can refill by pouring water into an area next to the ice bucket, but this one isn't designed like that.

Just over a year of use and it started making a hellaciously loud noise that sounded like a cat being murdered. Turned it off and let it sit for a while. Emptied it. Noise didn’t go away when starting it back up. Contacted company, awaiting response. Will update…. Hope for this price it last longer than this. Loved the small nugget chewable ice it made. Ice container isn’t very large. Makes ice fairly fast. Easy to clean. Not very quiet even when new. UPDATE!!!! Company has yet to respond after multiple emails. Less than 13 months and it crapped out on us. Will not order again.
