i loved the icemaker worked great for about five months then quit making ice, i read the trouble shooting steps and also went on the manufactures site and google to see what i could do i unplugged over night then tried again the next day it halfway worked for a few hours then quit again, i finally found a chat area with amazon and explained my issue and did the cleanings etc. the person was very helpful and contacted the maker and in about ten minutes came back and told me they are sending you a replacement and do not worry about sending the defective item back they will send you an email when it ships etc, i thanked her for her help i was very impressed with the help i received. about four weeks went by and no word so i tried to find chat again and couldn't find it but found a phone number for amazon and called them the person i talked to said she couldn't find anything about it and gave me a couple of options the last was i can box it up and either have UPS pick it up which is not an option for me or i can take it to them, which after being told not to return it did not make me happy at all i could of disposed of it and would of been out of any refund, so i took it to UPS, today i had an email that my refund has been issued and they charged me over $15. so once again i had to find a number and call them they informed me that it was past 30 days and it was a restocking charge, i explained again what amazon told me and he kept repeating himself, i stopped him and said why are you restocking a failed item? he went right back to it's over the 30 day etc. i even explained to him i've been with prime since it came out and you are quoting a return of a new unused or damaged item, don't need etc. i had to ask for a manager and waited for awhile then i had to explain again and a little back and forth she refunded the rest to me. i really can't put words to this, was i lied to the first time? by amazon or the maker etc. i am not joking about at least an hour and a half trying to find chat, going through amazons customer service steps the close to 20 mile round trip etc. and i am still at square one, no working ice maker, do i trust this brand? roll the dice and try another in my price range etc. i bought this due to the ratings and i needed to have one for the ice pack machine the spine hospital gave me after my Surgery. i am loosing my faith in amazon's customer service, they used to be great / the maker contacted me and explained what had happened was due to an employee had left due to having a baby and my issue was not passed on quick enough and apologized several times kept in touch with me etc. and made it right with me which is not common thing anymore i am impressed

So when our ice maker broke on our fridge this was the resort. The ice itself is pretty fancy but you don’t get a lot of it. It does take awhile to make them if you don’t use ice a lot then this wouldn’t be an issue but we love ice in our drinks. It is pretty small so it fits in any little area on the counter top. It also has a little drain hole so it’s easy to clean. The noise is not too loud but if you have sensitive ears maybe you’d notice. Overall pretty good machine we don’t use a lot anymore due to having a fridge with double ice storage.

Limited freezer space. That's why I bought this item. I don't really use ice in the winter, but it's a must have in the summer. I do not have room in my freezer for ice cube trays and such, that's why this is perfect! I do not leave it running all the time. I turn it on the morning of hot days. It will run until there are enough ice cubes to reach capacity. Once you take a bunch of ice cubes out, it senses that and will make more. It's not very loud, and the sounds quiets down when Its made enough ice cubes to fill the basket. My daughter and I love the shape of the ice cubes. They're kind of like cup-shaped, hollow inside. As a worrier, I appreciate the shape of the ice cubes because I don't have to worry about anybody choking on them! They're not solid. I know, it's probably ridiculous, but it's how my brain works! If your brain works like this too, I think you'll appreciate it as well! Lol I've never really been into iced coffee, but this machine makes it kind and of fun to make. I use bottled water because my tap has hard water. I don't want scale to build up in this kind of machine. I used my Brita pitcher water a few times but I'm not confident that that removes all the calcium and minerals that could block up different parts of the machine. Added bonus: "Ice regulates emotions by providing immediate physical grounding and altering brain chemistry. We bought this because the ice maker in our refrigerator died and we didn't want to spend a fortune to repair it. This little unit does a really good job. I built up a bunch of ice over two days and now run it every three or four days to replace what we have used. There's only two of us so it only takes about six hours to accomplish that. The unit is pretty quiet. The first batch of cubes when starting are always smaller but are normal-sized from then on. We make the large cubes as those are smaller than what you get from your fridge icemaker. However, they work just fine. Once it gets going, it seems to produce each batch in about 6-7 minutes. The little bucket is full and needs to be emptied after about 40 minutes. We have hard water so I run some vinegar and water through it on the self-cleaning cycle after a few times of operation. Pretty easy and should keep it working into the future. I follow their advice and drain it and wipe it out after use. I also leave the door open overnight to help air it out. So far, I haven't noticed any mold trying to grow. All in all, I think this one's a keeper.

Overall, I love it. We have a well and our water has iron in it(even with house filter), so we buy our water and keeping up with ice trays was a pain. My kids play sports year round,so we go through a lot of ice for water bottles. This has been a life saver. I doesn't take much water and has fairly quiet. It makes 10 pieces of ice in about 3 minutes. My only issues is that I wish the "arm" that scoops the ice into the rack was a little longer. As it is, it dumps the ice just over the edge and sometimes it piles up in front of the sensor, so the sensor thinks it is full and stops making ice. When in reality, it is only half full, but it is piled up in front of the sensor. So every so often I have to life the lid and move the ice from in front of the sensor. If you don't use the ice, it will melt back into the water chamber and be used again to make for ice, so you are not constantly filling up the water chamber. Love it! 6/27 Update: i have had this ice maker for 8 months only and it is already acting up. It keeps saying that the water level is too low, even though it is full. Previously, when water level was low and you filled it up, it took a few minutes to register that and then would start making ice. Now it is sitting with full water for a long time (long enough for everything in the tray to melt) and still doesn't register that the water is full. We have to turn it off and back on. Took away a star, because o have had it less than a 1 year and it's already malfunctioning.

I really love this ice maker so far. The only reason for a 4 star and not 5 star is it is a little noisy, but it’s not too bad. The ice is the perfect size and has the perfect crunch. It also makes ice quickly. It is easy to refill the water. I love that you don’t have to scoop the ice. I would recommend it.
