These lights are awesome in my fish tank! I have these attached to the bottom of the hood with the suction cups and they work great. They have fallen off only a couple of times, but they are waterproof so it hasn't been an issue. All of the light settings work great and they shine nice and bright. The remote has great range as I can adjust the lights to any setting I want from across the room. The lights also dim to a nice low setting as well. This light is for my goldfish tank and I have never been more happy with a purchase. I just put it in today but I have no idea if it’ll last based on reviews. However I completely love it! It was easy to install and way cheaper than my original plan! The lights on my tank went out and I would have had to replace the whole hood for $80! I definitely recommend! ... show more

Just like what Kevin Hastings had mentioned we had to put it over to the side and the tank was a little dim. Problem solved by mounting it on the FRONT face, up as tight to the hood as possible. The suction cup may even disappear depending on the make of your tank.

I really like this light. It is a nice quality and I really like all the different color options However, it could be a little brighter for my 40 gallon breeder tank. And I have the remote up to the brightest setting. I wish they made a brighter version. So, if you have a 40 gallon or larger tank and you don't need room for a filter sprayer tube, I would recommend buying a larger light than this one. I have this light over to the left side of the tank in the back leaving the right side somewhat dim because I need room there for the filter. I was hoping the light output would have spread out more and it doesn't unfortunately. So one side of my tank has adequate light and the other side is dim and lacking. ... show more
