The media could not be loaded. This will be a two-part review, just received this item and I am really looking forward to getting it setup for use. So for the first half of my review, I will talk about this unit before I use it. I was looking for an ice machine that would supplement my refrigerator one. With company my refrigerator won't keep up in the ice department so I picked this unit out. Some features I really liked are that it is pretty compact, makes and holds a decent amount of Ice and does not need to be refilled with water. I checked the electrical rating and it draws 1.2 amps, that is really low so it can be plugged into any outlet without the need for a separate circuit. It does need a water line but it is not too hard to add one, I really did not want to have to monitor refilling. I hope to install this into a cabinet for a nice tucked in look, the handle can be mounted either side so I don't need to worry too much where it is installed based on door swing. For now I don't have the cabinet so it will be freestanding, I checked and the feet are adjustable to prevent any wobble on uneven surfaces. Lastly it arrived undamaged, seemed to be packed pretty good to prevent it from getting beat up. Mine arrived upside down, due to having a compressor I would always recommend letting the unit sit right side up for a day or two before turning on. Once I get it hooked up I will review the second part of operation and performance. 8/15/2022 - update/ so for part two, had this unit for a little over a week now. I had a little issue with the water supply line, this was on my end and had nothing to do with the actual unit itself. As I had mentioned previously I would need to add a water line for this machine, so I tried the clamp on style connector which lasted about a week and then it decided it was just going to leak all the time. I replaced with and would recommend grabbing the SharkBite style which also has a shut off, it is a little more effort but way more worry free. So back to the ice machine, it is really quiet, I could barely hear the unit over my dehumidifier. This would be perfect under a cabinet in the kitchen or bar as you would not hear the unit running. It did as stated make a bucket of ice in 24hrs, I would say it took about 30 hrs for the ice to build up high enough to stop the production of ice. Overall this is a really nice unit and makes a decent amount of Ice to support heavy usage. ... show more

    • Buyer beware- huge waste of money
Edit Update: DO NOT BUY! Huge waste of $$. This unit needs to be completely defrosted every 5 days, at least, just for the door to close. The ice melts the refreezes constantly, creating a solid block of ice. Frost builds up everywhere after 24 hours. The water filling tray overflows under, behind and inside the ice bucket, then freezes. Huge mess. We paid 1k to have this professionally installed inside our cabinetry and were happy not to have a drain. Lesson learned: Ice makers are BETTER WITH DRAINS. This is the highest maintenance appliance I’ve ever had and can’t wait to replace it. We thought we were saving by purchasing one with a freezer and without a drain. Wrong. We now will pay more than triple to fix this mess. Avoid, avoid! Old review: this unit makes a ton of ice, is quiet and efficient and surprising affordable. We installed this into a cabinet space below the counter. It’s short enough that it fit without removing the drawer above. We fill 6 huge water bottles many times a day and still have to turn off the ice making part now at night because it makes too much. Ice does freeze and clump together. We looked at the more expensive pebble ice makers but ultimately decided our main goal was to have large cubes that last longer in water bottles. ... show more

We bought this product 9 months ago. This thing makes a lot of ice in a short time ! We’ve had zero issues. The only draw back is it is more or less a freezer so the ice blocks up in chunks but all u have to do is break it apart and it’s easy. We defrost it once a month or so. Install was easy since there is not a drain needed. ... show more

Update: Vendor sent us a new ice maker. We hooked it up the water and plugged it in and it works exactly like we wanted. We had ice within 45 minutes of plugging it in. It works great! Ice maker does not work. Does not cool and does not make any ice. Submitted a return request 11 days ago and have not heard from anyone regarding how to return the item and get a refund. ... show more

I have an under-counter ice maker, but it quit working a couple of months ago. I’ve tried to clean the parts, but it was still dead. Then I looked up how much it costs to replace it, and I was shocked by the big price tag! After looking all over for a similar unit, I came across this one that is almost the identical size (just a bit shorter than my old one but I can easily fix that by putting some boards underneath), similar specs, and the metallic look matches my furniture perfectly. I ran it a couple of times so far and it seems quiet and produces ice fast. The tray is removable and very easy to clean. The entire design is thoughtful and user friendly. Not to mention the price is a fraction of those brand-named units! I’m so happy with this ice maker. In fact I’m gonna grab a cold drink right now lol! ... show more

The Ice Maker has worked Great .... It is very quiet compared to previous units. I had a problem with unit all of a sudden not making ice column as it has for 7 months.... so I contacted customer service / support.
