Description

Add a tropical feel to indoor spaces with a welcoming Peace Lily from Costa Farms, featuring lush, dark green leaves and charming, white flowers on tall stems floating above the foliage. The easy-care Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) is a perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, and any other special celebration. It's a wonderful addition to tabletops, desks, and credenzas in your home or office, and this humidity loving houseplant is also great for adding to a low-light bathroom. This Peace Lily comes in a 6-inch grower's pot, ready for you to add to your own planter.Growing up to 36 inches tall and wide when mature (plant height is 20 to 24 inches at shipping), the Peace Lily produces white flowers on and off throughout the year when grown in medium- or high-light spots. It's also been scientifically proven to remove common harmful VOCs from the air — including formaldehyde, benzene, and xylene.Place your Peace Lily in a low, medium, or bright spot protected from hot or cold drafts. It will tolerate low-light conditions well, but won't bloom much. Water enough to keep the potting mix moist, but not wet or soggy. The plant will wilt dramatically when it gets too dry, but its leaves pop back quickly after it gets moisture. Give your Peace Lily a humidity boost by growing it in a kitchen or bathroom, placing a small humidifier nearby, or grouping it nearby other houseplants (which release moisture into the air as they breathe). Fertilize two or three times per year with a general-purpose houseplant fertilizer. Avoid exposing it to temperatures below 50 degrees F (10 degrees C).Grown by Costa Farms, a family-owned farm based in Miami, Florida that grows more than 1,000 varieties of high-quality plants for in and around your home.

  • It's a rural area and theres a bunch of streets with the same name but will add a northeast or SE or SW and it's really confusing and somewhat annoying but either way it's a problem
We have some problems with the mail where I live... It's a rural area and theres a bunch of streets with the same name but will add a northeast or SE or SW and it's really confusing and somewhat annoying but either way it's a problem. The plant didn't arrive on the day it was supposed to and they immediately sent an email stating there appears to be an issue with the shipper and had a link if I wanted them to resend a new plant or just straight refund the money. I wanted to plant so they sent a new on and it arrived perfectly fine (it was -5F the day it arrived and still healthy). Ive had the plant for two weeks now and it's perfectly healthy and getting very big. The flowers are a nice green and the white flower thing is always erect. The dog doesn't try to eat it, it's a pretty durable plant. I went on vacation for 7 days and came home to a bunch of limp leaves, I put an LED light bulb over it (it was like a 10$ grow light) and that sucker came back to life in one day. This is the first time i've owned a plant and I'm doing okay with it... Good plant, good value, very happy ... show more

  • Beautiful, high-quality house plant to brighten your room.
I was searching for a house plant that was a little different and slightly less common and that would fill a plant stand and pot I recently purchased. I did some research and landed on a Peace Lily. After looking on Amazon I found this one that was reasonably priced and looked nice from the photos. I ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. It arrives in a tall box in a plastic pot. The box is easy to open and the pot had a long wooden stick in it to prevent the plant from being crushed in transport. The Lily was in good condition when I opened the box and I placed it in the pot right away. So far the plant is healthy and doing well and has brightened up a bedroom. The Lily also came with simple care instructions and a small pamphlet with other plants offered by Costa Farms. If you're considering purchasing this plant, I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Wish I could return, huge regrets

  • Exceeded expectations -- beautiful plant
I'm so happy with this plant. The photos included were taken today, and I received the plant a month ago, so it's doing well! As with anything you get in a grower's pot, you're going to need to re-pot it. The plant I received was as large as the photo would indicate, if not larger, and the leaves were lush and very healthy looking. The flowers did have a few dark spots on them, but I think this is just part of the life-cycle of the plant. The flowers will turn green as they age and the leaves will droop if plant needs some watering. Once it gets what it needs, I've seen the leaves perk right back up. All in all I feel like I got a wonderful plant, and how it fares from this point on will depend on how I take care of it. So far I'm very pleased! ... show more

  • Too small for a 6'' planter
the plant came well before the original delivery date, it was alive and healthy. My real concern is the size: the planter is actually taller than the plant itself, really a baby plant with no flowers and small baby leaves, nothing like the pictures in the description. The plant would fit in 3-4'' container, and it actually looked like it, with not enough soil around the roots for 6'', and it was squeezed into a 4" box... and btw there is a 4" plant from the same seller on Amazon, which is cheaper... If I knew it would be so small, i would have gotten two to plant together and to save on shipping, or just a bigger size plant (the planter I got for this lily is big). Quite disappointed, because it will take me forever to grow this baby into an adult individual. ... show more

  • Beautiful plant but packaging could improve...
The plant arrived full and healthy and I am pleased that the folks at Costa are committed to guaranteeing customer satisfaction if their plants arrive in poor condition. I was particularly concerned when it was delivered on one of the coldest days of the season. The plant was not insulated except for a brown paper surrounding it. (In comparison, a much cheaper plant I ordered from Hirt's Farms for $10 was completely wrapped in 'air pillows' for insulation.) The plant arrived very cold but fortunately the leaves were not damaged. There was some 'spotting' on the two not-yet-opened lily buds which I guess was do to the cold. That aside, the plant was as good looking as the picture's suggest. I think for the price paid, however, some more thought should be given to better packaging for extreme cold and hot days. ... show more

  • It is pretty small for the price.
It came in good condition. However, for the cost of it. It is very small. I have bought a very large peace lily at fred meyer for the same cost and twice the size. Oh well at least it is a healthy plant and it is pretty.
