To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes.Monstera is generally a moderate grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the product’s instructions. When Monstera outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. The media could not be loaded. Edit. 12.20.23 3 stars reduced to 1 star. This plant has practically died. it pushed out two veey small leaves before going completely dormant. I had bought another Monstera from a big box company a week after I got this one both were the same size and that one has taken completely off. Both were in the same amount of sun and given the same exact care. bummer. So after a lot of back n forth I decided to purchase my Monstera from Costa Farms. I've never ordered a plant online, I was very very hesitant and kinda standoff-ish. The reviews seemed pretty good and most of the reviews with photos showed decent looking plants. So I took the plunge! I got worried when I saw how long she'd be in transit as it's the middle of summer with heat over 80 degrees. She did come a day early which was a pleasant surprise! I was shocked by how big the box was as they didn't look this big. The plant was packaged really well, soil wasn't completely dried out and only one leaf seemed to be messed up. Of course, it had to be the most fenestrated leaf on the whole plant. 😭 I did notice that it has not one but two Monstera's in the pot I received. Cool! But I'm debating about splitting them up. Both are growing inward facing towards eachother, verses facing one direction n outward, which makes the presentation of the plant alot nicer to the eye. I'm sure there's better reasons for them to grow in one direction and outward, but my brain has drawn a blank. lol Anyways all n all I'm satisfied with my purchase currently (day one) I'll update my review in about a month with her progress. ... show more

I got this about a month ago. This photo is from like week 2. It's grown at least a foot since I got it and new leaves are opening every day even the big big ones I thought the littles became the big ones but no. I don't know anything about plants I've killed everything I've ever tried to grow indoors but I got this and the 3 pack of exotic angel plants that are so cute and they are all thriving and actually growing. Most of them are hearty plants. I have north south facing windows only so I was putting them outside a few hours a day but bought a grow lamp and that seems to be working good. Have a ponytail Palm on the way from them and can't wait. Going to order alllll their plants. Everyone comments on how much they love the monstera even though it's taken over my studio apt but I got a moss stick to attach the stalks to. The leaves are so big and plump and gorgeous. The soil mostly stayed in the pot. They all arrived in great condition and all of the different plants are thriving They aren't letting me write a separate review for my second one. I love this farm I've bought like 20 things from them they are always great except this last monstera I ordered one of the bamboo sticks that keep the package secure was stuck right through one of the gigantic leaves and ripped it in half. It was like that when I got it when I took the paper off there was the big piece of leaf sitting in the dirt. Which normally would be fine but this was a housewarming present and I don't want to give it to them since the tallest one is all messed up ... show more

I have given it just shy of a week to settle in before reviewing. Honestly, most of what I’ve ordered with Costa Farms has been great. But, my monstera was delivered in super subpar condition which, just isn’t typical of the Costa Farms standard. While the leaves are massive, many are ripped, brown or crumpled beyond belief. Pretty bummed this time around. I may reach out and see if they will do a swap with me but, if not I will have to chop most of the leaves off it seems. UPDATE 1: I reached out to Costa Farms directly today via their website. I submitted a form for assistance and had included the situation. Within an hour I got that typical automated “we will be back to you soon” and I honestly figured I’d hear back within 2-3 days. NOPE! About an hour after that automated email- I was emailed by a human stating they would be happy to ship me a replacement and will respond with the tracking. I really do LOVE costa farms for quality, price and selection- it’s just an occasional beat up plant which happens ya know. Costa Farms will ALWAYS make it right. I think it’s mainly the shipping carriers causing the damage but, I’m grateful they are a company with integrity. I will update when the replacement arrives! ... show more
