Description

Aloe Vera features variegted, green foliage. The Aloe Verais great for small spaces. It does well in spaces that have bright, direct sunlight. Place Aloe Vera in a spot that receives bright light. Water your plant about once every 2 weeks with approximately 1/2 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Aloe Vera sit in water or overly soggy soil.The height at dispatch is approximately 7-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Aloe Vera arrives in a two-tone, 4-inch décor pot. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes.The Aloe Vera is a moderate grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the Aloe Vera, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. I was worried about making this purchase based on some not so great reviews, but I went for it and I am so happy I did. The plant came well wrapped and took a little work to get it out of the box without spilling dirt everywhere but I did it in the kitchen sink so no issue, the dirt was even still damp. At first, I was surprised to only have four stalks, but within a month, I'm up to 8!!! This sits in my master bathroom where four people shower regularly (why can't kids use their own showers!!!) So I'm not sure if the humidity helps, or what, but I am so happy with how this is growing. I swear it gets noticeably larger every day! **UPDATE - this baby won't stop growing!! I am so impressed! The pot it came in is flimsy-ish plastic but it is part of why I chose this item instead of others, I didn't have to re-pot it or spend additional money on a pot. It is not in an area where I worry about it getting knocked off and/or cracking so it works for us. Plus the colors match our bathroom. The only thing that would make this purchase better is if it came with the little plate to catch extra water after watering it. Otherwise, it is perfect and I am so happy with it! I bought a spider plant in the same pot from the same seller and had equal luck with that one too! I will be back to them for other plants in the future! ... show more

The size was way smalker than the photo. It came have rotten. And the soil was all over the box and super dry. I had to clip the rotted stems. Put the in water to regrowth roots. 😒

Aloe Vera was healthy and in good condition when first arrived. However it needed to have sandy soil. I keep it in the soil it came with and it caused the plant to die. Should be shipped with the correct soil type.

    • It was alive but the packaging was terrible

I have bought other plants from Amazon in the past with no problems. When I opened the box it was difficult to get out of the packaging and half the dirt fell out. My biggest problem was that the plant seemed to big for the pot. I would have rather gotten a small plant. Because of this a lot of dirt had fallen out and the roots were showing and the plant wouldn't even stand up. It also had a huge bamboo stick to support it but again was too big for the pot. The plant itself for okay although two small leaves were dying and one was bent. Luckily, I had some potting soil to add to the pot and I'm planning on getting a bigger pot but it was disappointing that I had to "doctor" it as soon as I got it out of the box. I also think that all the plastic wrap around the actual growers pot caused even more dirt to fall out. It was very difficult getting all the packaging off. I ordered these as gifts for my mother and children and have not heard if they had problems yet. I hope not. I wish it had been packaged a bit better, then I would given it 4 or 5 stars. ... show more

I got this plant 3 months ago as an early Christmas gift, and it's still healthy! But I would recommend getting the nursery pot, because even though it was pretty, the nicer white pot was still plastic, and Aloe Vera prefers ceramic or terracotta pots. The soil was also kind of low quality and tended to hold in moisture, so I had to repot it in fresh soil. But the plant itself was beautiful!
