Enjoy the beauty of Majesty Palm Tree, which features solid, green foliage and is fantastic for large spaces. Grow Majesty Palm Tree in bright, indirect sunlight. Water it about once a week with approximately 2-3 cups. Ensure excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let Majesty Palm Tree sit in water or saturated soil. When dispatched, it’s about 36-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Majesty Palm Tree arrives in a black, 10-inch grower pot. To help with water drainage, this container does have holes. Majesty Palm Tree is generally a slow grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the product’s instructions. When Majesty Palm Tree outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. My Cat Palm was packaged well. The plant is full, healthy and beautiful. It exceeds my expectations. Update. While my cat palm arrived in a beautiful state, within a day the fonds started failing. Some of them bent in half, some got crispy. I think they were experienced cold during shipping. While the pot was well packaged and a heat bag was attached, the foliage had little to no protection. Plus the box had 2 hand carrying holes that were 1.5”x 4” big, allowing outside air to enter the box, and expose the fonds to cold. I’m still hoping the palm will survive as a few of the fonds are okay. I should have known better than to buy a plant online in January. ... show more

I’ve bought at least over nine different large plants from this company and they’re very accurate not only with the description but once you get the item in. I never bought one straight out of the box with its own vase.. They basically give you the plant inside of a growing Nursery pot, and then added inside a bigger, fancier decorative pot. Straight out of the box. It’s ready to be put out. The packaging is very careful, and the bottom of the dirt becomes sealed in a rapper. The decorative pot is strong and sturdy, but it doesn’t have drainage holes so eventually after about two years, maybe three years it will outgrow its nursery. You can water the plant and it’ll slowly drain into the decorative pot, but I simply just take it out, water it outdoors to drains slightly from the hole let it dry a little bit and then put it back. This is the easier surefire way so that way the external pot doesn’t hold the water. Beyond that I don’t have anything else to say. The plant is very healthy. I received this about six weeks ago. I usually love the plants I buy from Costa Farms, but this one hasn’t met my expectations. The foliage isn’t evenly dispersed around the plant. About a quarter of it looks normal but on the other sides it looks like it was grown so that it didn’t have enough room to flourish and the stalks are all tall so that the plant leans back over to the normal quarter. I thought to myself “OK challenge accepted” and I positioned it in front of a window with direct southern exposure and all day sunshine so that it would grow towards the sunshine. I also shimmied the underneath of the pot so that the existing stalks were perpendicular to the floor and have tried to slowly remove the layers of the shimmy to slowly let it learn which way was straight up. I guess I need a whole lot more time because it is looking a little worse than when I unpacked it from the box. My last complaint is that it came with a bunch of those tiny fruit fly like bugs and those are killing my other plants so I have had to remove them from the window where they were previously thriving. Normally I love Costa Farms plants and they usually grow well with no problems but this one is not doing that well and it is either because of me or the plant and I don’t know what else to do with it. I would not buy this one again. Plants do make you life better, buy them often! Happy growing to all! Update to my review: The really interesting thing is these are in fact spider mites that have infested this plant. I have 8 plants total and the ones I got from Home Depot locally and Ikea locally have no spider mites. Both of the other ones that I got, which are money trees, that I got from Costa Farms have been heavily infected with the spider mites from the Cat Palm and one of them looks like it is about to die from it. I have taken action to save both. They were both healthy and beautiful before receiving this Cat Palm. I cannot figure out why the other Costa Farms ones are the only other plants that got infected. Now I am leery of buying from Costa Farms again. I don't know that I have the skills to keep them all alive and get rid of the spider mites. ... show more
