Description

Enjoy the beauty of Majesty Palm Tree, which features solid, green foliage and is fantastic for large spaces. Grow Majesty Palm Tree in bright, indirect sunlight. Water it about once a week with approximately 2-3 cups. Ensure excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let Majesty Palm Tree sit in water or saturated soil. When dispatched, it’s about 36-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Majesty Palm Tree arrives in a black, 10-inch grower pot. To help with water drainage, this container does have holes. Majesty Palm Tree is generally a slow grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the product’s instructions. When Majesty Palm Tree outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. Hardy outdoors in USDA Zones 9b-11. Exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact.     • My majesty palm is infested with millipedes
Update: costa farms issued a brand new plant and shipped it immediately after they returned my inquiry, no questions asked. I discarded the larvae infested plant. The one I have currently has had no issues so far. I plan to update this if Costa Farms decides to respond to my inquiry with them however, it was submitted and they have had enough time to send a response and have not yet. I received a majesty palm at the beginning of August, the plant had two main growths. The soil stayed moist throughout for the past few weeks of me checking. The top soil dried out about a week ago and I lightly watered it, not enough to saturate though because my house is over 60% humidity and it wasn't baking in sunlight. I had it in a north facing window temporarily. I woke up about a week and a half ago and the smaller palm of the plant collapsed and the bulb structure was rotten, two days ago the rest of the plant collapsed with a rotten structure. The plant pot is dropping millipedes both mature and young, the entire soil is infested with them as is the root and bulb structure of the plant which explains why it rotted so quickly. This is a first for me, I've purchased Costa Farms plants in the past and I have never experienced worms/millipedes or infestations of any kind within the first 30 days of having a plant. This is really odd and super gross. I cannot make the plant come back from this, the whole thing is completely rotted out. I was considerably worried about the rare plants that I already own also becoming infested and I've had to now quarantine them to be sure that they don't end up rotting and the substrate they are planted in will need to be replaced. All of my non rare plants will also need to be repotted with new soil since I can't take any chances. I'm hoping I'll be able to update this and change my rating when they finally respond to make this right. I'm all for natural pest control but millipedes upon research sound like they have far more negative effects on the soil than benefits considering they feed on organic matter. I really like this majestic fern plant tall arrived in excellent condition. I put in a ceramic pot that cost more than the plant. Its so beautiful and gives lots of oxygen to room.

    • Had it for 5 days before throwing it away
When it first arrived it was beautiful, but I had to throw it away after having it less than a week. In the morning, I saw what looked like a spot of mold on the soil. Less than an hour later, I saw multiple spots just like it and then saw bugs emerging from them. No idea what kind they were, but they were far too creepy-looking and there were hundreds of them. I didn’t keep the plant in the house long enough to properly identify the insects. All I know is I didn’t want them in my house at all. ... show more

I've ordered 2 over the past year. My friggin cat keeps eating them 😒 Costa ships beautiful, quality trees packaged perfectly! And for a great price. You can get one from Walmart for 5-10$ less but it's smaller and honestly just not as nice.

Beautiful 3’ plants. Arrived quickly. One was shipped upside-down and had many broken pieces. Not the shipper’s fault but UPS fault! Couldn’t find these locally. All sold out at local stores. I love these palms!! I put them on the patio during the summer and bring them in during the winter. Adds a tropical feel to the patio. Can withstand some sun but prefer indirect sunlight. Water often when outside during summer!!! They love humidity!! Spray the whole plant!! While indoors, use drip pans with rocks and water under!! They will weather well. Can also divide when multiples sprout! Lost all mine when I moved to a place where I couldn’t winter store them properly. I’m ready now!! My last set lasted 6 years!!!! Divided several over the years. Hates to lose them and I’m starting over again! ... show more
