Longer cooking time, more nutrients will be lost, to better lock the food nutrients, a good slow cooker will keep a low temperature to avoid nutrients lost much after hours cooking, and still keep a tender and juicy taste.Q3: When to open the lid?- After the float value has dropped, you can open the lid.Q4: What are the orange dots in lid and pot base?- They are indicated marks to let you close and secure the lid more easily. Align the orange dot on the lid with the orange dot on the pressure cooker base, and then twist clockwise.

  • Great for everything except steaming.
Style: Pressure Cooker
I really love having a High/Low pressure cooker. I use the slow cooker for pinto beans with ham hocks and stews. Fully functioning pressure cooker is great with corn on the cob etc. Many functions, just put in any food and press the corresponding button. Excellent instruction book with recipes. It is a little to big to leave on the counter for my daily rice, Cooks 1 cup or more great, but doesn't shine with just a half cup. (too big so I bought a mini cooker for that). One glaring design error though. I like to steam veggies and this comes with a flimsy metal rack (read scratch the non-stick) that wants to collapse and has large spaces on the steaming surfaces. Great for a fish filet, but many smaller veggies will fall through. The manufacturer says to cover it with tin foil and cut slots in it, so they know it's a problem, but apparently did not care to fix it. Bought a separate steamer. Bought a separate steamer and dropped a star. ... show more

  • Not PFAS Free
Style: Pressure Cooker
I really wanted to like this pot. It is beautifully made and much studier than other brands, just aesthetic overall but unfortunately after purchasing I learned it is not PFAS-free. I did not get to cook in it, sent it in for a return after learning the material of the inner pot is only free of PFOAs or PTFE which is a HUGE NO in my book. I emailed the customer service team asking if I could use a different (third-party) inner pot that I would purchase separately, but their reply (attached photo) only reassured me of the safety of the current pot which is not a good look on their part and as an owner of other Cosori products this is concerning. I really tried to make this work, but the other third-party pot mentioned above did not fit. I truly hope they make this change, it would be 10/10. __________ To inform readers and sum up the issue on non-stick pots from @just.ingredients: When it comes to the coating on cookware, there are three terms you’ll often see: PFOA-free, PTFE-free and PFAS-free. It can be confusing! Both PFOA and PTFE are types of PFAS. PFAS are a group of 15,000+ chemicals. PFOA is perfluoroctanoic acid, and according to the FDA, as of 2016, it was no longer used in any food packaging, cookware, or other food-related products sold in the U.S. A label that says PFOA is essentially irrelevant. (1) PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is the nonstick coating used on cookware. The problem is that it can break down with high heat and also release polymer fumes. “PTFE-coated cookware releases various gases and chemicals that present mild to severe toxicity.” (2) PFAS-free is the label to look for on cookware. PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) is a large group of over chemicals and that number is continually growing. Even though two common PFAS have been banned (PFOA and PFOS), they have been replaced by thousands of other PFAS. PFAS should be avoided due to the fact that it gradually accumulates and remains in the body over time, and several PFAS chemicals have been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer. (3) If your nonstick cookware has a scratch, it’s best not to use it. If you do need to upgrade to better cookware, changing it out piece by piece as you can afford it can be the best way to go. Stainless steel, cast iron or 100% ceramic cookware are all good options. ... show more

  • Can use an Instat Pot Stainless Steel Inner Pot
Style: Pressure Cooker
This isn't really a review, but some useful info for buyers who are concerned about the inner pot being PFAS free. I can't really answer that concern. However, for any who would like a stainless steel inner pot you can purchase an Instant Pot inner pot that fits the 6 qt. Instant Pot model IP-Duo60 and it should work perfectly fine. I have successfully tested the inner pot from my dead Instant Pot IP-Duo60 and it works. Just research to find the best price. ... show more

  • Love this for Indian Cuisine
Style: Pressure Cooker
Cosori is one of my go to brands now. I received an air fryer for Christmas from my sister and love it. I am impressed with how the company handled the air fryer recall, and how they stand by their products. Well made with additional accesories available. I look for the Cosori brand now and bought the pressure cooker to try different cuisines. It's amazing. ... show more

  • Love it
Style: Pressure Cooker
I bought this for myself but ended up giving it to my daughter, she said it was a great buy and it cooks well, it does the same thing as a Instants Pot, it was so much cheaper, I saved and she was a happy camper

  • Love it
Style: Pressure Cooker
Love it because you can use it to cook so many things. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is bvecause their reference time chart seems way off. Frozen veggies... only set the timer for 2 min. raw veggies 3. But maybe because I don't use low pressure for aanything. One thing people need to realize is that if you are transitioning from the stovetop rocker pressure cooker to his electric type, it will take longer to come up to pressure so you need to adjust your time accordingly. ... show more
