Assembly was fairly easy and straightforward using the assembly instructions on the Corsair website accessed via the QR code printed on the inside of the box lid. The chair appears to be well built and has been comfortable so far. Given the price of comparable chairs, I would say that this one is worth the $229 that I paid for it. I was hesitant to buy this chair. Every review I read was an emotional rollercoaster. One minute it’s great, one minute it’s trash, I wasn’t sure what to believe. I decided to just commit to it and order since I’ve always wanted this chair, and it matches my Corsair peripherals. I ordered it Monday, it came Wednesday, which is pretty awesome. Everything was well packaged. Branded bags, a lot of protection surrounding the products, I was impressed. It does NOT come with physical instructions, but you can just find them online. Super straight forward install which took me a solid half an hour at most. Now, the final verdict. First sit down and I was really impressed. The bottom cushion is honestly nice, and the two back pillows work well and fit my body like a glove. I’ve already used this for a consecutive couple of hours and I’m happier than I was in my other chair. I was rocking a Respawn 110 Pro, which is very large and plush but is very cheap feeling in comparison. For those looking to get this chair, every single one of the complaints I’ve seen did NOT fit my experience. Whether it be the parts, the bolts, the cushion, whatever. But I do understand where some of these may come from. Let me advise that this chair is absolutely perfect for me. Im 5’11 and 145 so I’m not your average bodybuilder. It still has some room but just be mindful of that since it does seem like it’s meant for the “smaller” peeps. Besides that, everything feels great and is premium. I've had the chair for 7 months, and it is a good pick overall with no buyer's remorse. I am 6'2 and 180lbs and sit in the chair for ~7 hours a day. The support is okay, as they are just adjustable lumbar/neck pillows and nothing rigid. I have a 30" waist, and I would say a 34" or 36" is around the max to fit within the seat bolster. The arms do not adjust out, only up and down, which is not an issue for me. If you are larger, that is something to consider. The recline feature works hilariously well as you can recline nearly flat and not fall over. The leather is still in great shape with hardly any creasing and no damage or wear to the material. It's comfortable to sit in for the whole day. The chair was very simple to assemble in ~5 minutes and comes together like every standard office chair with 4 bolts for the base, and 6 for each arm. This chair has started to creak which can't be helped. I would give it a 3.5-4 rating due to this alone. The creak comes from the pressed steel pin the chair tilts on at the top of the post, so it can't be tightened or adjusted in any way. It is a little obnoxious, but my only real issue with the chair. To compare, I have a $1,500 Humanscale Freedom Task Chair with Headrest at home, and I feel no real difference in the chair's comfort or overall quality. The Humanscale does have better built-in ergonomic adjustments like the arms, seat pan depth, and lumbar position versus the Corsair, which only includes a couple pillows for lumbar and neck support. The Humanscale is really underwhelming for the price, very loud with the smallest movements, and not that comfortable. Do not feel compelled to spend more expecting better quality. Overall, I would probably purchase the Corsair TC500 Luxe for a little more next time for more adjustability, and the built in lumbar system. ... show more

This was a value buy for me. It gave me the bones of a good chair and I bought several add-on cushions to make it decent. If you are expecting a premium chair you will need to spend more. This is not it. Stock it is very uncomfortable and the back and neck cushions are poorly designed. The lower back is held in place by some clip on straps that are very ugly and cheap looking. Its the worst gaming chair I have sat it but also was by far the least expensive. Ive customized it easily to suit my needs so I am happy with it. ... show more

I was looking to have this great comfortable chair based on all the reviews. Boy, was I wrong. Let's start with the instructions. They were taped to the OUTSIDE of the box. In Japanese. JAPANESE. JAPANESE!!!!! I mean, seriously? So it took me an hour just to find some instructions in English. You might say, well, why not use the picture, even though they were in Japanese? Because they were AWFUL. So I finally found an instruction manual- Not put out by Corsair, mind you, that walked me through it. In terms of assembly? I'm trying to figure out if they could figure out a smaller screw known to man to use for the hinges. I suppose if I go to the hardware store and they scour the country they might find them. Let's get to comfort level. I cannot imagine sitting in this thing for the length of time that reviews give it. It is simply uncomfortable and cheap. It feels like something I'd buy at K-Mart. God, it's just awful. I'm going to return it. The thought of using this chair is hard to imagine. And I'm using it for sitting at a desk. I can't even imagine how gamers would feel in it it. It's not sturdy, feels like it's wobbly, etc. So I'm done with it. I'm returning it. My biggest fear? Taking the darn thing apart and getting it back in the box. That's what scares me the most.
