Spring Garden Essential I picked up this electric garden tiller for my vegetable garden and chicken coop run before seeding it for grass, and it was exactly what I needed to prep the soil. It is powerful enough to break up hard packed clay dirt easily, and I am already looking forward to using it again once the ground thaws this spring. It is worth noting that this unit does not come with a battery. If you don't already have compatible ones at home, be sure to check the product details for the specific voltage and type required so you aren't stuck waiting to use it. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver between rows, making it a much better alternative to manual tilling. The bonus hand tools were a great unexpected surprise! It saved me from needing to buy a set to maintain my raised garden beds.

Cordless Tiller Cultivator for Milwaukee 18V Battery was pretty easy to assemble. It even came with a few extra parts just in case. It is as light as a tool this size can be. It work great for small to medium jobs but runs through batteries. Have a few of them for uninterrupted work.

What a powerhouse to be a battery operated garden tiller! For it's size, this little tiller can really dig. It is small, lightweight, and quiet, but functions like a large tiller. The battery life is good, not great, but I have several 18v batteries. This is really a high quality tiller that should last us many years. We have used it for anything from planting bulbs, to vegetable gardening. It really works well for raised bed gardens because it is so easy to pick it up & put it over in the bed.

I used the Cordless Tiller to loosen up the dirt where I was building a 50ft wall in my backyard, and I was shocked at how well it worked for only being an 18v battery. It is easy to use and easy to move. The tiller digs into the ground nicely and really helps break up the dirt. If you start out slow to loosen the top layer, once you get a few inches down it starts tearing through the ground pretty easily. I used two different Milwaukee batteries with it and both clicked in without any issue. I ran it for over an hour, switching batteries once, and it still had plenty of power for a battery tiller. For the price, and not having to deal with a heavy gas tiller, this is definitely worth it for yard work.
