As a result of the fact that I already had chargers and batteries from my other instruments, all that was required of me was to connect the unit, place the battery inside, and begin working. It was immediately apparent that the cordless operation was a significant advantage from the very first session. I was able to move about freely without having to drag a power cable behind me, which enhanced my productivity and reduced the number of interruptions I had while working. This flexibility of mobility is particularly advantageous when moving between various parts of the yard on a regular basis. In terms of its performance, the tiller is able to operate, and I was able to sense the force that it had as it broke through the compacted earth. Although I use it mostly in places that have been worked on in the past, I tried it in a little piece of ground that had not been worked on previously, and it was able to manage the task well enough to meet my requirements. When working around plants or in tight garden rows, the tilling breadth of 7.8 inches is large enough to cover the area effectively while yet being small enough to allow for accuracy. Additionally, the depth of five inches offers a nice balance: it is deep enough to adequately prepare the soil, but it is not so aggressive that I lose control of the situation. In my experience, one of the most significant benefits is the reduction in the amount of physical work that is required. In the past, turning over soil with hand tools was not only a time-consuming process, but it was also exhausting, particularly after a long morning or afternoon. By using this cultivator, I am able to prepare a bed for planting in a quarter of the time, and I do not wind up feeling fatigued once the process is complete. Simply because of that difference, I am now more ready to begin little initiatives that I may have previously put off.

I am a homeschooling mom with what feels like a never ending to do list, so I rely on tools that will not slow me down. I got this hoping to reclaim a little peace in my day. My idea of self care is digging in the dirt while my kids are somewhere in the background yelling about bugs. This cordless tiller makes that chaotic little dream a bit more manageable. My husband has got more than a few DeWALT 20v tools already, so I was thrilled to see this could operate with those same 20v batteries. Now this tiller is feisty. It is not massive, which I prefer because I do not want a machine dragging me around the yard like a rodeo contestant. But it is powerful enough to churn up veggie beds, loosen last season’s tired soil, and help me edge out weeds before planting. I would not go attacking virgin land with it, but for prepped or maintained soil, it is a solid little helper. I like it especially because no fumes, no tangled cords, no gas spills, and no arm workout just to get it started. It is quick, simple, and reliable. I feel like a garden boss using it… well, a garden boss with laundry in the dryer and dinner half started.

Looks ideal for quick raised beds. Compact enough for tight garden rows and it should handle tough soil well with the 20v battery
