I threw this in a pool it wasn't rated for (30k gallons, 9' deep end, slanted walls), and it worked its way down the deep end, didn't have the power to get back up to the shallow end, and got stuck on main drain cap several times. So, definitely use it on what it's rated for, a small area, that's completely flat and it will help you pick up debris. It's super easy to open and clean and seemed to charge really fast (felt like 1 hour, but could have been longer). Not sure how it decides where to go, but it seemed random, but you could tell where it was by the clean marks. I'd recommend it for the pool size it's rated for. ... show more

    • Works Well But Definitely For Flat Pools
When I ordered this, I didn't realize that it was specifically for flat-bottomed pools (they make the world go 'round). I have an inground pool with a shallow end that slopes to a deep end, so this vacuum wasn't ideal for that, although it still did okay. I just had to put it in the deep end as it couldn't navigate to there by itself, and consequently also didn't vacuum the sloped section. Even with that issue, it is still pretty handy. Did a good job with the sections individually. If you want a spotless pool, you'd probably still need to use your traditional vacuum setup, but it would only be to touch it up, as this will get most of it for you. In a flat bottomed inground pool or in an above ground pool, this would probably be all you'd need. ... show more

Cleaning the swimming pool in the backyard during summer is a big challenge. If it’s not clean, I lose interest in swimming because the dirty water is unappealing. I had previously bought several pool cleaners, but they were ineffective and broke down quickly. However, since purchasing this new swimming pool cleaner, I have used it five times and my satisfaction has increased with each use. Initially, I was skeptical because the water remained turbid after its first use, and I thought it was just another ineffective cleaner. However, after recharging the cleaner and using it again for a few hours, I noticed a significant improvement, the water became much clearer and there was less debris at the bottom of the pool. After cleaning the pool, our family enjoyed a delightful afternoon swimming. I now use this cleaner every other day. Just received it today and it constantly stays in one spot!!! It moves maybe 2 feet and just sits there forever! Its obvious i got a lemon because I read the reviews and most of them were good so that's why I tried it! I am returning it tomorrow and I will try to get a replacement.
