I picked this up not expecting much more than a glorified pool toy but it actually surprised me in a good way. Setup was basically nonexistent which I appreciate because if I need a manual longer than a page I’m already annoyed. Dropped it in and it immediately started pulling in leaves, dirt, and the mystery stuff that somehow appears overnight. Suction is stronger than I expected for something cordless. It is not industrial level obviously but for regular maintenance it gets the job done without me dragging out hoses and dealing with the full size vacuum setup. The see through head is oddly satisfying because you can literally watch it do its thing like a tiny underwater cleaning show. Battery life held up close to what is advertised which is rare these days. I was able to get through a full clean without it dying halfway and leaving me questioning my life choices. The telescopic pole is solid enough and reaches where I need it to without feeling flimsy. It is a little bigger than I pictured in my head but not in a bad way, just something to note if you are expecting super compact. The filter bags are easy to swap and clean which is a huge plus because anything annoying to maintain usually ends up not getting maintained. Overall this made pool cleaning way less of a chore and slightly more tolerable which is about the highest praise I can give anything related to pool maintenance. Solid pick if you want something simple that actually works without turning it into a whole production.

The media could not be loaded. This pool cleaner did a good job on my fairly clean pool, and I think that it will work even better on a dirtier pool. I have a small pool (7ft x 12 ft x 4ft deep) that I use for winter swimming with a swim tether. (In summer, I swim outside (with a tether) in a larger above-ground pool.) The indoor porch pool stays covered as it is heated, so it doesn't get very dirty, but I do get a build-up of small particulate matter along the seams of the vinyl liner. This pool vacuum did a good job of sucking up the fine particles of debris and catching them in the fine mesh bag. This vacuum has several benefits. 1) The long handle means that I can clean my pool from outside before getting in. With the handle fully extended, I can reach the entire pool from outside. 2) It comes with four different bags, two for regular-size debris and two for fine particles. I used the fine-particle bag, and it did a good job of holding onto the fine particles the vacuum sucked up. 3) It easily stays charged long enough for me to go over my entire pool. Mistakes I made in setting it up: First, the website makes it clear that the vacuum is designed to work with EITHER the pole extension OR the handle. The paper directions, however, did not make that clear, so I wasted some time trying to get the handle on the end of the extension pole, but I couldn't! Second, I found it hard to close the body of the vacuum after inserting the mesh bag. The blue plastic handle has to be all the way up (or down) before the sides align so you can get fit canister part onto the head of the vacuum. Then the blue handle locks everything in place. It's a bit fiddly until you figure it out. More seriously, I first used the pool vacuum with the charging port wide open underwater because I didn't realize that the on/off switch would slide over the port. That was pretty dumb! You need to press the rubber charging port cover down hard and get it well seated. Only after you do that will the "on" switch slide over it. The "on" switch is designed to cover up the charging port while the vacuum is in use, but I didn't realize that (as you will see in the video). I am now trying to dry out the charging port! I look forward to using the pool vacuum in my outdoor pool when summer arrives because that pool gets much dirtier than the porch pool. As this vacuum seems to have quite powerful suction, I expect it will do a good job of cleaning the bigger dirtier pool.

I’ve gone through a few different ways of keeping my pool clean, and this is the first one that actually makes me *want* to do quick cleanups instead of putting them off. The biggest win for me is how simple it is to grab and go. No hoses, no setup, no dragging equipment around—just drop it in and start cleaning. That alone saves a ton of time, especially for smaller messes or touch-ups before using the pool. The suction is stronger than I expected for a cordless unit. It pulls in leaves, grit, and even fine stuff like sand as long as you move at a steady pace. The clear vacuum head is surprisingly useful—I didn’t think I’d care, but being able to see what you’re picking up helps avoid going over the same spot twice. I like that it comes with different filter bags. Switching between them depending on what’s in the pool makes a noticeable difference, especially after storms or when there’s fine debris settled on the bottom. The telescoping pole is solid and adjusts easily. It’s long enough for most areas, and I didn’t feel like I was constantly bending over or reaching awkwardly. For deeper or larger pools, it’s nice that you can swap in a standard pole if needed. Battery life has been more than enough for routine cleaning. I can get through a full pass with time to spare, and the quick recharge means it’s ready again without much downtime. A couple small things to note: going slower definitely improves pickup on fine debris, and for really tight spots, switching to the smaller head works better than trying to force the wide one in. Overall, this feels like a practical, well-thought-out tool. It’s not trying to replace a full robotic system, but for everyday maintenance and quick cleanups, it hits a really nice balance of power, convenience, and a good value.
