Assembly was super easy, works great with dewalt 20v batteries, as well as my off brand waitley dewalt 20v batteries. Has a good balance with my 5ah batteries, not too heavy, easy to maneuver. Works great and has enough power to blow pea gravel off my patio, which is what I will use it for most of the year, and it had no problem blowing what little leaves I had left from the fall. *Update* As of 9/2/2025 still working great. Extra batteries will extend use, variable speed is plus. Still heavier than some, but those are usually very basic & don’t have variable speed or near the power as this. Good & handy tool. Original review- A little over a month of occasional, light use & it seems to be holding up fine. Assembly was very simple. It’s no gas powered blower, so if your looking for longevity of single use or tougher jobs this may or may not be for you, but does small, light jobs well. Variable speed/power control (1-5) is great, usually a level 2 works for most of what intended use was for. You’ll want to use a larger battery so you aren’t switching batteries or waiting to recharge often, which adds weight, & this blower is a little on the heavy side without battery. *Both of which are the only reasons for deduction of 1 star* Overall- if you’re looking for a decent little battery powered blower that’s handy for simple chores (like a porch/deck, concrete/hard surfaces, light leaf blowing, etc) & have the brand name batteries it uses I would recommend this blower. ... show more

As advertised, blows great, lightweight and the Dewalt battery fits. Had to blow off the deck before I could fireup the bar-be-que. Worked great even blew the spider webs away, leaves too. Great price, well see how long it last's althought got the X tended warranty.

Nice piece of equipment. Super hi speed. Nearly blew my shoes off😆 I think the battery makes up bulk of weight! Pretty sure anyone would be pleased. Only one SEMI negative thing… switch is a little slow. Not enough to be dissatisfied… just something to be aware of. PLUS an awesome warranty‼️

I purchased this unit because it is relatively inexpensive and is compatible with my Dewalt power tool batteries. First of all, I find it interesting that the name "Heinpro" appears nowhere on the blower or packaging, nor in the instructions. Moreover, when I tried to access the website to register the unit, I was directed to an unidentifiable medical/pharmaceutical supplier in Athens, Greece. I'm glad I didn't invest a lot of money in this product as I'm not terribly optimistic about any required service after the sale. As for operation, I ordered this unit to augment my corded electric. (Yes, manipulating the extension cord for that machine is a pain in the patootie. But a gas unit is too heavy for my needs - I blow out my rain gutters periodically - and would take up too much storage space in my garage. Plus with no exhaust and no batteries to dispose of later, my corded unit is as green as green can be, and I have never run out of fuel or battery life in the middle of a job! I have noticed however that these units are disappearing from store shelves.) Anyway, speaking of batteries I agree with many other reviews of this unit regarding short battery life. The DCB207's I use for my drill last about 7 minutes in this unit at full power and then fade quickly. Also it doesn't have the power or volume for moving large accumulations of fall leaves, nor easily digging out leaves that are nestled down in the grass. However, it is handy and convenient for quick driveway, sidewalk, and patio cleanups. Another benefit I have found is to use the low setting for blowing fallen leaves and pine needles off of my recently installed bark mulch without too much displacement of the mulch itself. I did find the instructions amusing, wherein they repeatedly refer to the unit not as a leaf blower but as a "hair dryer". It would probably be effective for that application, so I think I'll have my wife try it as I run out the back door. ... show more

I really wanted the new Dewalt but couldn't justify the nearly $200 price tag and now glad I didn't get it. The weight/balance of this HeinPro, Dewalt battery compatible 500CFM/150MPH blower is quite good. I'm 5-11, it is not tip heavy or light, rotates easily without a whole lot of swing weight to overcome so it easily points where I want to use it - compliments to the designers. battery life is more than acceptable even with smaller batteries. Interestingly, it seems to work longer with my used used (lighter) med sized 4Ahr battery compared to a relatively new 5Ahr battery but I have not timed it to compare. It is definitely quieter than I expected - I measure 81-83 dB(A) with the unit at arms length hanging at my side (42 dB(A) ambient) using an iPhone noise app and holding it at the closest ear. Level goes up toe 85-87 holding the blower out in front of me like when I might pass it hand to hand and into the 90's if I hold the blower up higher like I might if I were standing at the top of a ladder clearing gutters. Yes that's still relatively loud so I still wear ear protection but it's quiet enough that I don't think my city neighbors will complain too much. could be better: I like the variable speed wheel a lot but it would be great if they have a trigger lock so that I don't have to squeeze it down all the time so I rigged a tie-wrap loop that I can slide on and off the trigger when I don't want to hold it all the time. all in all I give it 5 stars because it performs well and was a great value by comparison. ... show more
