Our old canopy got mangled in the wind. We weren't sure about this one but thought we'd try it. The upper vent works as stated in the description allowing the wind to pass through. Others complain about the canopy not being water PROOF because of the drain grommets provided allowing any accumulation of water to drain off. Well, it's not a big deal. I'd rather have a means for the water to drain, than to sit there accumulating, adding weight to the cover and eventual collapse. The difference in temp between underneath the canopy or outside it is substantial. Living in the mountains of CO our temps may not get into the 90s, but the intensity of the sun is much greater than lower elevations. The canopy provides great protection. We have set it up for gatherings and to provide shade while pouring concrete. The rolling storage bag is a plus because the canopy is heavy. I definitely recommend this product. Update— just used it remote camping in Utah near Bryce. Had 37 mph winds and heavy rain for 4 days and it never wavered. It stayed in place and kept everything under it dry. Baught this to provide shade in our back yard. At up was fairly simple (easy 2 person job), not as simple as a standard pop-up tent. During the initial install, 2 of the ground stakes broke. Luckily a have bunch from other items I already own. After about a month the included tie down line completely disintegrated (turned into little puffs of white material blown all over our backyard). Not a problem, replaced them with some nylon cord from HD. A little over 3 months I noticed that the canopy was starting to rip too. Now a couple of weeks later I've taken it down before the winds start and notice that the canopy is dropping in the middle (not at a seem) and the whole thing feels supper brittle like the whole thing is about to fall apart. Good thing I got the extended warranty and can at least get some of my money back. After posting this review, the Cooshade reached out and sent a completely new canopy tent! I really love this one. Durability is #1. I have bought many pop up tents over the years, but this one is overall my best buy yet. It lives up to its promise. I have had mine up for weeks now, and in the last week a storm came through with heavy rains and strong winds, and I expected to see it all twisted and torn as I did with pop ups in the past. But this baby stood tall through it all, and its still up. Not a single twist or tear. I haven't taken it down yet. The holes on it to prevent puddling is amazing. IT WORKS!! This is a great canopy. I really like that it is a little larger at 13' x 13' rather than most that are 10' x 10'. It is really easy to assemble and put up. The carrying bag is very nice. It is easy to fold up the canopy and put it in the bag. The only downside about the canopy that I can point out is that the legs are not exceedingly strong, so be sure to tie the canopy down if any winds are present. Canopy is really nice, sturdy and easy to put up. Went to use it for the second time this past weekend and the bags already ripped. Zipper broke right off. Disappointed with the bag as we were very gentle with placing the canopy back in the bag and taking out.
