Set this up my self, I am mechanically inclined but have very little HVAC knowledge, watch some YouTube vids, buy a vacuum pump and a manifold set its cheap on Amazon, and if you need to cut or splice your copper line set look up some push connectors that are made specifically for freon lines thats what I did for mine and they work wonderfully, took me about 3-4 hours to set everything up. You can do this, its only intimidating because you dont know yet. Oh and I used 12/3 wire for my 220line on a 20 amp breaker with a 24k unit so far so good **Update** been almost a year now unit has been running flawlessly, still trying to figure out how the digital thermostat hooks up, would like to program around peak times but remote works for now ... show more

We’ve not had this item for a full year and the control board has went out. The manufacturer would not honor the warranty even though we have proof of purchase from Amazon!! Spend your money elsewhere because you should not have to replace a part this soon. This is a lemon of a company!!

Size: 24,000 BTU
Shuts down for defrost for over an hour so house gets cold. No warranty if not professionally installed or if you wait to install over 60 days. That one made me upset because we were not aware or we would have done it sooner. The manual is poor as is the website. Needs auxiliary heater just to keep the house warm when it shuts down for defrost. 3 stars because it is quiet and runs. Air handler was dented badly on the inside of the pallet so damage was hidden until install. Was hit on the high and low pressure valves but I was able to straighten it. Also smart port was missing but I caught that early so the company sent one out but so far I can’t find the port they said to plug it into ... show more

I bought this locally through a HVAC company who installed the unit. This is NOT a DIY kit it REQUIRES professional installation as noted on the very big red stickers on the unit and very clearly stated on the installation instructions for the warranty to apply anyone who ignored that and gave a poor review tried to DIY a professional product that requires a professional HVAC license to install. This will be the case for all HVAC equipment that isn’t specifically designed for DYI installation. With that said, the system is significantly quieter than the previous one it replaced both indoors and out. Overall the air quality feels cleaner and, crisper with the indoor environment being more balanced and stable. As for energy consumption the electrical requirements are approximately half of what the same sized previous unit needed. If you are replacing a 2 ton unit that is 10 seer expect at least a 50% energy savings that alone is a substantial energy savings. Temperature is controlled by either the temperature sensor inside the air handler or the remote thermostat. The included thermostat is not intuitive at all, I haven’t needed a manual to know what the basic functions are for an incredibly long time. I have not figured out How to get the thermostat to display the outdoor air temperature as shown in the picture. One thing to note is this unit works with the Midea smart home application same developer as the C&H smart home application. ... show more
