  • Super comfortable! Both the seat and backrest are amazing for me.
Style: Caliber X1C Gray
I am coming from a secret lab titan chair, and I've got to say, this one absolutely blows the titan out of the park, for me at least. With the titan, the seat was WAY too firm and whenever i'd put my back on the chair, I could feel some kind of bar digging into my back. So I was honestly pretty hesitant buying this chair reading how most chairs are made by the same manufacturer and just rebranded or whatever. I think I'm a bit odd when it comes to chairs because I don't really look for ergonomics and good posture, I mainly just want to sit in whatever position I want, and be completely comfortable. Anyway, I just went on a whim buying this, and 100% don't regret it. Also, in no way am I saying that this chair has bad ergonomics. It comes with the lumbar support, which is actually really neatly attached to the seat (can be removed) and can be moved up and down. I don't have mine on, however, just because I am more comfortable without it. I am super satisfied with the seat cusion. I don't feel any metal bars or anything when i sit down and it is not too firm. The seat is also pretty wide too so if you want to sit cross legged, you totally can. I usually sit with one leg under my other and it is super comfortable. When i lean back on the chair, it is well cushioned as well, nothing digging into my back. Even if i try pushing my back into the chair, i feel nothing but cushion which is amazing. I'd say the only complaint i have about this chair is the headrest. I tried using it and it was just too hard for me, I just swapped it out with my secret lab headrest/pillow though so it's not too big of a deal. So yeah, this chair satisfied the 2 things i was worried about the most when looking at chairs. The seat is cushiony enough for me to sit in it all day and not have my butt hurt. The backrest is comfortable to sit back in. Also it's not $500 so there's that too. I'd say give this chair a shot if you're looking for comfortability like i was! ... show more

  • Comfort and support - not just for gaming
Style: Caliber X1C Black
I got this chair as a replacement for my home office chair which was no longer feeling comfortable - I would be in pain within a few hours of work. Putting the chair together was relatively easy. I opted to put the chair together on top of a stool (flipped the seat cushion upside down and put it on top of the stool), which made the process easier for me. I've been using the chair regularly for a couple of days now and find it to be comfortable and supportive with zero pain. The lumbar support is particularly helpful for me because I have low back issues. I haven't tried reclining in the chair so I can't speak to how that works. Overall, I am very happy with this chair and how comfortable it is for work (and play). ... show more

  • Pleasantly Surprised by the QUALITY
Style: Caliber X1C Gray
I'm not a gamer. I ordered this chair for my home office, and office chairs are way overpriced for similar features in a gaming chair. I was really surprised to see the quality of this chair FAR surpass office chairs for much much more money. This chair is solid. The base is strong, heavy, and well built. It's super comfortable. The material is NICE, the look is cool, and the feel is literally cool - in that I can sit for hours with no hot spots or discomfort. It reclines all the back. My only complaint about this chair is that I'm 5'7" and the neck pillow doesn't easily slide down far enough for me, but I adapt. Oh, also, easy to assemble. ... show more

  • Broken piece -- other reviews on other websites report the same issue -- returning
Style: Hybrid 1
UPDATE: Below was my original 4-star review -- however after a single day of use I have decided to return it. The broken lumbar support really does impact the comfort. It moves around and I can't get it to be exactly where it should be. The extending pressure of the adjustable support also doesn't seem to evenly press against my spine like it should. I removed one star for that. I also removed a star because it has an extremely narrow back. Like, the chair seat is super wide, but the back is only comfortable for pencil-people. My back presses into the hard plastic that the mesh is wrapped around. Like, what is the point of the flexible mesh? My back mostly rests against the unforgiving plastic edges, not the flexible mesh in the middle. --- The chair feels very nice overall. It is very nice to sit in. I can sit cross-legged very easily (I am a 6'2" man with big tree-trunk legs), and everything feels comfortable. The tilt-action feels very smooth. I gave 1 star for support because they don't seem to provide support here. Going through the amazon chat process, they say "Amazon is serving as customer support for this product, so you'll have to go through us instead of them" or something like that. Essentially, the only option was to return it, and I would only get my money back after they received the entire chair. I gave 4 stars overall. If it arrived in good condition, I would probably give it 5 stars overall. Some minor things are not there -- the seat has no depth adjustment, which of course I knew ahead of time, and wouldn't be a problem for anyone smaller than me, but now that I'm sitting in it I'm like, "I wish this had depth adjustment..." lol. The headrest can lower itself when you don't want it to if you lean back against it too hard, but once you get used to it it's easy to avoid. The armrests could be a bit more customizable left-to-right (since the chair is so wide, the arm-rests are very wide) but it's okay for everything except for a certain position of typing (most people don't type for hours on end but I do). Assembly was alright, but the booklet they send you is worthless, and they don't tell you about the installation videos they have online, here and on their website. I wish that I had seen the installation video before ripping the zipper. You can't see the tear now that it's assembled, so I managed, but installing the backrest is super awkward and difficult (dare I say impossible?) if you don't know the technique, which they don't show you in the booklet, and you have to position sharp metal hinges tightly over the soft, tearable fabric... Other than those minor things though, the chair really does feel great. The part that was broken on arrival was the lumbar support. It is supposed to move up and down along a plastic guide. The guide was broken in two places, as you can see in the photos. A review I saw on IGN described it exactly as it happened to me. Here is a quote from that IGN review... --- "The problem is that the support attaches onto the bracket with a thin and brittle piece of plastic. When I built the chair, I noticed it was off-kilter. Touching it, it shifted like it wasn’t attached to anything at all. I was surprised to find that I could pull it right out. Doing so revealed a bracket that appears to be missing its middle. I found tiny shards of plastic in the bottom of the box that seemed to match the jagged edges of the plastic, though nothing large enough to complete a rectangular frame or make those pieces whole. Like anyone, sometimes journalists have bad luck and receive something that has been mistreated in transit. Things break, the company usually offers a replacement that represents what normal consumers should expect to receive. Except, in this case the packaging was entirely fine. When I reached out to Cooler Master and they sent a replacement backrest, it too arrived completely fine. Except, its lumbar support was broken in exactly the same way. There were no pieces of plastic in the second box. That both were broken in exactly the same way made me second guess myself. Could this be the way the chairs are supposed to be? But if this were intentional design, it’s not much better. When every competitor’s solution feels solid and intentionally built, to have yours be wobbly, rattly, and able to pull out like a loose tooth is just bad. For the purposes of this review, I was able to fit it back into place. Under pressure from the rear knob and my own back, it worked as intended, though with a bit more wiggle and rattle when I got up." --- I have the exact same feelings. Is it supposed to be like this? It seems to work, but it also seems broken... It's very strange ... show more
