The cookware seems well made. We first put all the pieces through a dishwasher cycle. When drying the pots, we noticed black grime on cooking surfaces. Next, we heated the sauté pan with oil on low heat, and allowed to cool. Wiping the inside, still showed black grime. Did the oil treatment again, grime was reduced, but still visible. Next ,we heated the pan with dish soap and water. Hopefully it will be clean enough for cooking. Product description says the cookware is oven-safe, but does not mention up to what temperature, or if the lids are also oven-safe. I posted this question on Amazon, but received only a guess from another buyer. No response was received from the seller.

These are really nice pans, and at the price point, I figured I didn't have much to lose. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. The entire set was about half what one of my hex clad skillets cost. We'll see how they hold up over time, but so far I'm very impressed.

There is nothing nonstick about these pans. I did everything according to the directions. There are some good uses for these pans. But if nonstick is what you're looking for these are not for you. I've fixed several things in them with eggs, melted cheese, etc. It was NOT NON STICK. I used plenty of oil and it still wasn't non stick. They are nice and heavy duty, well made. But NOT NON STICK. The result of an omelette. And this is with plenty of oil. Makes me really annoyed because I waited a long time and did my research before I bought these and I'm very disappointed.

I recently purchased this 10-piece dotclad nonstick cookware set as a replacement for my older non-stick pots and pans. I've been using a similar set that was gifted to me over 15-16 years ago, and they're still holding up remarkably well. One of the standout features is how easy they are to clean, even when dealing with stubborn or burnt-on food (simply soak in hot soapy water for a few hours, and cleanup becomes effortless). Impressions of My First Stainless Steel Cookware Set Before purchasing these pans, I conducted extensive research. This set caught my eye during my exploration of cookware options, especially since I had never owned stainless steel pans before. Previously, I relied on either cast iron or non-stick pans. Since acquiring them, I've used these stainless steel pans every single day, and I must say, I'm absolutely loving them! Adjusting to these pans took a bit of time because they're somewhat different from what I've been accustomed to. However, I made sure to thoroughly read the care and use instructions, which significantly eased the transition. For those new to stainless steel cookware, here are a few tips based on my experience: These pans require less heat compared to cast iron or non-stick pans. When frying, initially, the food may stick, but if you let it brown first, it'll release on its own without leaving any stuck pieces behind. Regarding cleaning, I followed the instructions to the letter. After using the pan, I filled it with hot, soapy water and let it sit for 15 minutes before cleaning. Recently, I fried chicken breast using one of the pans, and as per the instructions, the pan washed clean effortlessly without requiring any scrubbing. I've boiled, fried, sautéed, and made sauces with these pans, and they've performed admirably. They still look as sparkling as the day I received them. I ensure to dry them with a clean towel immediately after washing, which has helped maintain their pristine condition. Additionally, since I use propane, the reduced heat needed with these pans is proving to be a cost-saving measure. The only minor issue I encountered was when making orange sauce for orange chicken, which required a bit more than a 15-minute soak to remove all the sauce residue. However, heating the pan with soapy water resolved the issue. As for the handles, which are also stainless steel, I haven't experienced any issues with them getting too hot to handle. The lids fit snugly on the pans without any gaps, and the pans require only seconds to preheat. I store all the pans on a baker's rack with their lids, eliminating the need for stacking and potentially scratching them. Thus far, these pans have proven to be a worthwhile investment of both time and money.
