I have tried many different colostomy bags over the last 4 or so years. Some are easy to close, some, not so much. However, the ones that require a clip (tail closure device,) I have always preferred to use the Convatec Sur-Fit Active Life Tail Closure 10/Pack, and that's for one simple reason, and one alone: they can be difficult to open/close, sure, but that's the beauty of it - once you do get it closed, you KNOW darn well its closed because you can hear a noticeable clicking sound; just like when you go to open it, you KNOW it's open because it clicks again. That's a very important feature to me because I don't want the bags to have an open tail closure device, risking a spill of their contents all over. ... show more

Using this exclusively for nearly 15 years ... dispose of the clips that come with the Pouches. This is smaller, no sharp edges and lasts two months. I use with Hollister Pouches. Other clips have opened on me by catching on clothing ... or parts of anatomy. Highly recommend
