I have been getting the carnation breakfast high protein for about 4 years now. I have IBS and I do not tolerate any of the other types of drinks like ensure or other types of plant based drinks that are high calorie or high protein. The carnation I mix with califa almond/coconut milk and take 3 lactaid pills and I’m fine. The vanilla version is so delicious and I don’t have any reaction. It provides me the nutrients I need and vitamins. It is very filling. It mixes very well with the milk I use which is plant based. So delicious. Unfortunately I don’t tolerate the chocolate or strawberry versions so I can only buy the vanilla. But it is so tasty which is fine. I have it on auto deliver so I don’t have to worry about running out because I drink it 3 times a day. My diet is very limited in what I can tolerate so this helps maintain my weight. Again, I tried other brands but just ended up getting sick from them. So I will stick to the carnation brand. I highly recommend!

Mornings are tough. Especially breakfast. My daughter is autistic and meals in general, especially on the go before school, are hard. My daught loves breakfast essentials. I love how quick and easy it makes breakfast and mornings go. Muffin or bagel and her milk and she's ready to go, no fuss. Her favorite is chocolate but she likes the vanilla too. I even put it in my coffee because I regularly skip breakfast.

Being on Zepbound sucks - the calorie deficit is immense and unhealthy and if the calories are too low, I don’t lose weight… but as long as the weight is going down I’m going to suck it up as long as I can. One way I try to keep enough nutrition, protein and calories is mixing the vanilla mix here with 12oz Fairlife 1% (I like using 12 oz instead of 8, it seems too think or sugary if only 8, plus the additional Fairlife means more protein)… gives me roughly 30g protein which is a lot better then any full meal I could try to stomach. I prefer a coffee flavor, so I melt down a tbsp of instant coffee with a tbsp of hot water and add to the drink - gives a great French vanilla coffee flavor! I’ve been drinking carnations “instant breakfast” since I was young, and am still happy to drink it to this day.

Tastes great! My 88 year old dad really enjoys it. I mix it with full fat oat milk. Vanilla is a good flavor to have available. I make smoothies, I’ll add chocolate syrup to it.

... for medically compromised parents/children who need more protein in their diets. The flavor is so much better than Ensure or whatever and I guess that makes this worth the price, but most of us full-time caregivers (I'd guess especially those of us who have been taking care of our kids for decades) are already financially strapped and insurances/Medicaid do not pay anything unless it is IV nutrition. Oh well. It is a great product and I am so grateful to be able to find it here.

vitamins minerals and protein starts the day off with Essentials as the name implies. Powder does not mix instantly in milk and residue will stick tightly to glass and spoon if not rinsed off
