This was the best first ukulele choice I could have made for myself! The instrument has a nice tone, with good strings and a responsive fretboard. It's also attractive and seems to be well-made. So far, I haven't used the strap, but the included gig bag is sturdy and padded. Every video I've watched warns against using hard plastic picks with ukuleles, since they can damage the strings, so I don't know why Hola! Music included that type of pick with the bundle. After playing this ukulele every day for almost two weeks, I can report that it's now retaining its tune better than it did for the first few days. It's a lovely little instrument, and a great value! I'm so glad I chose this ukulele to begin my learning journey!

Beautiful tenor ukulele with solid spruce top. Bone nut and saddle. No plastics...all wood. Great sustain. Intonation was good on two of the 4 strings, but two center strings appear to be slightly sharp in high range at 12th fret. I had digital tuner ordered to verify. If so, I’m going to contact Hola to see if they will adjust. I contacted Hola and unfortunately they would not help me. They referred me back to Amazon. I was disappointed to hear that level of customer support, even though it was a returned instrument that I purchased on Amazon. Fortunately, with minor adjustments this intonation issue was corrected at the bridge. Intonation Is now near perfect. I also changed out the high ‘G’ for a low G, because it will have a fuller, richer tone and range. Like I said, this was a returned Uke to Amazon and I purchased it at 50% off the normal price as used in very good condition. I can live with that. But apparently with no support from Hola. Figure that out...purchased from amazon, but no Hola support. Oh well. I’ll be buying two more Ike’s this year as gifts, but Hola probably lost those sales. Regardless, I must be fair about this HM-427SSR+ solid spruce top Uke...it seems flawless and I consider it a great value for a good quality, beautiful professional tenor Uke. The gig bag is decently made, but really not much of a high quality bag compared to the Uke. So-so gig bag. The strap is very nice, light, colorful and comfortable. This is the second Uke I’ve purchased, and I returned the first one, a Kmise solid spruce top, rosewood sides and back, concert model... because it was too small for my fingers. It was nice, but does not compare to this Hola tenor, which fits me better and has similar appearance to the Kmise, with both solid spruce tops and rosewood. This Hola is a much better quality Uke and a better value for my money. I’m new to ukulele but I know this is a mid to upper tier instrument. I find it to be very beautiful. Unfortunately, Hola support failed me and at this time this model tenor is no longer available. I don’t know if or when it will be. Check out the pics. Thumbs down for Hola support but thumbs up for a Beautiful tenor that plays great!

This ukulele is really nice. The quality and workmanship for the price point is really great! I gave it a 4 star because of the one flaw that is really bothersome. On the video ad that Adam has on his site he stated “that the finger binding is there to protect your fingers from sharp frets.” Well the frets on my uke are very sharp and I had to file them down with finger nail emery board just to reduce or remove the sharpness on the frets. There were several times that my fingers got caught on the frets. I just started learning how to play the uke 2 weeks ago by teaching myself via you tube. My first uke is by Aklot, and with that uke you cannot even feel the edges of the frets as it was nicely shaved on the edges. I was expecting that this uke would be the same so I am disappointed about the sharp frets. The manufacturer should consider shaving down the sharp edges of the frets. On a positive note, the uke just looks great and sounds sharp but not very loud. I’m considering restringing it with the Aquila Sugar strings (Low G). The bevel edges really makes a difference during long hours of practice. Overall, it’s a great buy and nice price point for a beginner who’s considering a good quality uke without breaking the wallet. It’s looks professional and well crafted and very good quality uke. Adam, I’m hoping that you would let the manufacturer know to correct the sharp fret edges. I should not be spending the time to file the sharp edges out of the box. I should just be able to enjoy playing the uke right of the box. Lastly, the gig bag and the strap that came with the uke is an added perk. However, a tuner should have came with it. The Aklot uke bundle (also made of solid mahogany) that I got came with a tuner, an extra set of Aquila Nylguy strings, strap, 2 picks, chord chart, a beginner’s uke book to learn how to play, and a cleaning cloth for just $79.99. Otherwise, I really like this uke.

I bought the Hola! Music HM-424SSR+ Limited Edition Professional Concert Ukulele Bundle, SOLID Spruce Top, Ebony Back & Sides with Aquila Strings, Padded Gig Bag, Strap and Picks - Satin Finish. I wanted a concert ukulele with a fuller, sweet sound. So when I saw a solid Spruce top paired with Ebony back and sides, I just had to order it. Spruce is a softwood, so as a top or sound board (responsible for over 90% of the sound), it is known for being bright and loud, yet still full and warm. And Ebony is a dense wood, so I was hoping this combination would project louder for being a concert ukulele. I was not disappointed! I love my tenor ukulele - curly koa top, sides and back – it has a more deeper, more bassy tone and the volume is usually a bit louder than a concert, being a larger instrument. But this SOLID Spruce top concert ukulele is much louder, brighter; yet still has that fullness in sound. This is a beauty; the ebony sides and back, the spruce top, it's just a sweet instrument. Plus it sounds great, I’m impressed. Hola! Music does a good job on this ukulele. As a review on the bundle, I really like the strap. I'm not so interested in the padded gig bag nor the picks, and it should really come with a tuner. For such a nice ukulele, I'm ordering a hard case and humidifier; this is one instrument I want to care for and keep a while.
