The media could not be loaded. I highly recommend the Z1 Pro 20W laser cutter / engraver. I think it is the best value for the money out there. I just upgraded from a Z1 10W to the Z1 20W Pro. Have owned several Comgrow Z1 Machines - 5W, 10W and 20W, all are great machines. As an engineer from the 90's I can't believe there is this much capability available at this low cost. The video shows some cuts of 8mm plywood, this is a tough material I get scrap from work. The new Z1 Pro is able to cut it with one pass at 200mm/min. The Z1 10W was cutting it, but it took several passes. I am more than pleased with this machine so far. Packaging was very well engineered. Setup for this machine was very simple (less than the Z1 10W) I recommend lightburn, connection was easy once you set the correct baud rate Had one issue with the Z1 10W and comgrow sent a new circuit board with no problem after communication with the engineer. ... show more

Very well made and huge. 600x600 is great. Nice aluminum bottom tray ( has edges formed upward) for a nice fit. Steel honeycomb so your magnets work.

The laser bed is huge and the Comgrow, Comgo Z1 10w machine fits on top of it and the Comgrow laser enclosure fits around it making everything look good. Can finally utilize the entire working area on the laser in one job. :) Only thing to make this better is included honeycomb clamps for work pieces like the other company had but all in its a great item. ... show more

I bought the Comgrow 22" honeycomb plate after a recommendation by Louisiana Laser guy on 'Tube recommended it. It's ferrous so magnets stick to it (priority #1!) and it has width-wise supports, but you will absolutely need to put it on a flat surface as it's not supported strong enough to hold up using just the corners. It doesn't sag much, but why risk it warping during a cut? It fits perfectly under my xTool D1 Pro 20W setup, but just barely. You have to remove all the risers if you need to do thin materials and it sits just on the corners with the rubber feet installed (I removed the plastic caps that the plate comes with and saved them for later. I also retained the cardboard box and foam as it will be handy if I ever have to transport the plate anywhere). Also, I got the big Comgrow enclosure and the plate and D1 Pro frame fit perfectly inside (enclosure is very big, so you'll need some space for it). I also recommend getting some of those big, gnarly magnets to hold your work pieces because the honeycomb doesn't keep it flat by itself. As to cutting with it, I have to say it works great, but the ONLY way you're going to get good, clean cuts (honeycomb or not) is to use air assist. There's just no getting around it. I bought an airbrush compressor for that function and it came out nearly perfect. Without air assist, it comes out charred and warped. The plate makes it to where you can cut all the way through without it reflecting and marring the bottom side. I can highly recommend this plate, but beware that you probably won't be using the risers unless you have some pretty thick stuff under the laser head. ... show more

Nice laser, almost fully assembled and pretty easy to download the programs needed (grbl and lightburn) The only issue is the comgrow customer service is pointless and will do anything to avoid helping you and just deflect your questions. Do plenty of research prior to buying

I had an XTool laser with the 20W upgrade. Had a little incident with it and couldn't use the laser module anymore. The cost of replacing the module was twice the cost of replacing the whole machine. After checking into getting a new module, I decided to purchase the Comgrow Z1. Right out of the box I was impressed. Had it up and running in less than 30 minutes. I have been lasering for about 3-4 years now. It is a very user-friendly machine (I am familiar with Lightburn). I would definitely recommend this product. ... show more
