Great color choice for Eagles green. I did so much back and fourth with choosing the correct color for the team. I think out of the others this one is the closest I could find.     • Great budget filament

I have a Bambu Lab A1 with the AMS Mini which I absolutely love using. The Bambu filament is expensive compared to other filaments. But their spools have RFID so that you can just load the spool and the AMS automatically recognizes what's on it. It's super convenient when changing out spools. Rather than getting Bambu refills, I wanted a cheaper option, hence coming to the Comgrow filament. I printed a respooler and I just transfer the Comgrow filament to the Bambu spool and now the AMS Mini recognizes what's on it. I find the the Comgrow filament works wonderfully for various projects with the generic presets for PLA, at half the cost of other brands. The PLA filament prints great. I haven't been super impressed with this filament. It's not bad. I don't want to give that impression and I'm no expert. That said my results with it have been a little inconsistent. I've printed a bunch of large prints. Parts for my printer as well. All of the parts are functional and decent looking. That said it seems brittle at points and not at others. I did put the roll in my dehydrator for several hours and it did peel off about .5 ounces in weight which leads me to believe the symptoms I had were caused by moisture. I've only had this roll for a month or so and I keep it in a ziplock with a large desiccant pack. This makes me wonder about the condition at packing time. All that said, for basic prints the results were acceptable. The price was reasonable and it's a large roll. I've found others I like better but if you get a good price and just want a large roll to crank out some big parts this works fine. Update: Customer service from Comgrow is excellent. They have reached out multiple times to assist. I will give their products another try knowing they stand behind them. ... show more

    • A difficult color

Nothing but problems here...It is so soft the Ender 3 single-gear stock extruder would gouge it out and loose traction, resulting in several failed prints. I bought a sprite direct extruder and although it is better, it often fails to adhere to the bed in odd places, and even to adjacent layers. Another brand of filament (albeit different color) seems to work just fine with none of these problems. I will continue to experiment with settings to see if I can get a successful print with this material. Added Info: I ordered more yellow filament from a different brand, and had almost the same problem. Perhaps it is the pigments used to produce yellow which cause this finicky problem. I increased my nozzle temperature to near maximum, only reducing it slightly to prevent blobbing, and am getting passable results with both Comgrow and another brand. As a new maker, I am learning every day. I have increased my rating to 5 stars, as I now believe the problem may not be manufacturer-related I will avoid this color in the future . 1-Star for the filament being wound too tightly on the spool. My AMS binds every time the filament is being drawn from the edge of the spool. It is wound too tightly, so I must manually unwind it whenever it reaches the edge. This may be a one-off issue with this spool. If so, I will update my review to 5-stars. But in the meantime, having to babysit the printer is a huge pain in the butt. Not cool. !!!Manufacturer note: Batch No. 1C82600670. If this is not a one-off issue, then please adjust the tensioner on your spool winder. PS: 5-Star for the filament itself. It prints great and adheres to the bed. ... show more
