Ordered this to try this Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee which is considered one of the best coffees in the world. Prompt delivery, well packaged and in great shape with ziplock bag. On opening I was very pleased with the deep and rich aroma, brewed a pot and found it very nice and well worth getting. My palate may not be refined to clearly discern the suggested "Berries + Floral+ Citrus" tasting notes but it was undoubtedly one of the best and freshest coffees I have tried. If you like Ethiopian coffee, especially from yirgacheffe beans, this is a pretty solid choice. The beans came medium roasted, not too dark, and had a citrusy flavor, almost a bit of a fruit and wine-flavored taste. For the price, a 2.5 pound bag of beans that was delivered quickly was certainly a great deal. We aren’t coffee snobs so can’t really compare these beans with gourmet brands. I really like this coffee. It comes in a nice airtight resealable bag. The beans were fresh and retain their flavor in shipping. This was a good, but not great Yirgacheffe coffee. It came in a foil pack that was airtight, but it wasn't vacuum packed and the beans were dry when first opened. Yirgacheffe is a big region, and not all the beans are equal. But this didn't bear a lot of resemblence to most. It was weak-flavored, and not at all the flavor I normally expect. It was inexpensive, but I took that into account before this review. I'm not a coffee snob that rates coffee the way wine connoisseurs rate wines. And I'm all for supporting small growers. Very tasty whole bean coffee - beans were not oily but the brew had a nice light viscosity. Bag was stamped with an Expiration Date but otherwise there is no way to tell how fresh the beans were - it would be nice if they stamped a Roasted Date instead. Packaging was in a foiled bag but not vacuum sealed or with a one-way air valve so freshness could be questionable, but my bag seemed ok.
