I'm so angry at myself for buying this, I'm erasing my original review for this. I cannot exaggerate in a nice way how angry i am for buying this cheaply made chair. My screws are uneven therefore making it impossible to screw one in and therefore i am leaning back more than i want and my lower back becomes inflamed after 6 hrs of sitting. Had to spend 50 on a cushion for it. that extra 50 could have gone to the better chair with the better reviews. My fault for being cheap. A waste of money. I'm so angry i didn't spend the extra 10 for the better reviewed chair. Now I'm stuck with this piece of crap. My cats seem to enjoy it as a scratch post though. LOOK ELSEWHERE even if you Ina budge either spend the extra 20 on something better or save 20 more. This i promise isn't worth it. My first chair ever and the biggest disappointment package I've reviewed yet. Can't return either because the box is gone, cats have scratched on it. Well when I started to write this review, it was going to be somewhat negative. It felt weird to sit in and it didn't have any give whatsoever when I leaned back, but did when I leaned forward no matter how much I loosened the tension wheel. So, I clicked on the link to write my review. Saw the Comfty chair in the picture and realized... I am a dummy. I put the metal part of the chair on backward. Lucky for ME (and you, if you did this too) the arms flip up on this chair, so I flipped it over my ottoman and corrected my mistake. Now that the chair is on the stand properly, it leans back a little as it should, and I can adjust it properly using the tension wheel. So, just like that, a potentially negative review gets a lot better. USER ERROR! Duh. Now about the chair... It is firm and roomy. There is a slight forward lumbar curve but there is plenty of room to add a pillow or cushion. I LOVE that the arms move up and out of the way. This is good for when my son comes over and wants to play guitar! Also, sometimes I like to sit cross legged in my chair and play Oculus. Being able to move the arms out of the way is fantastic. It is a little firm on the behind, and I imagine my boney caboose will get sore sitting too long, but that is ok, the overly padded chairs seem to feel almost lumpy and irritate my sciatica. This chair doesn't seem to do that. All in all it is a decent chair that I am sure, given enough time- my cat will decide it is HIS chair. Yep I recommend it. ... show more

A good gaming chair should be comfortable because it’s meant to be sat on for long periods of time. I do light gaming on PS4, I play Apex legends which has a max match time of 20 minutes per game and this chair is just not comfortable. The seat has the most cushion on the area right in front of where your butt would be which goes unused if you sit with your legs spread. The back area is fine but I personally sit forward when I’m into the game. The chair is also sort of small, my height is 5’6” and the seat feels small. The weight limit is 260 pounds, I’m 230 I seriously feel that I’m pushing it’s limits. When I lean backwards i can hear things creak and the wood making splitting sounds from the bottom, I don’t over do it, I treat it as a normal chair. Assembly was pretty easy especially because they included the hex tools for the bolts. I did struggle a bit because one of the screws wanted to go in crooked bit correct itself after loosening the other bolts. Assembly would take less than 10 min if you used a drill. Overall the chair would work fine for a person around 5’3” to 5’5” and 200 to below pounds but I still think it’s overpriced based on the competition at its current price. I rated it two stars because despite working fine for people who weight less, it’s still has a max weight rating of 260 and at 230 I can feel I’m pushing it from all the noises it makes. ... show more

***update*** I’m leaving my original review below, but I have an update. With some additional elbow grease (and a stronger family member who wasn’t afraid to force things), we were able to get the screws into the chair and assemble it. Once built, it’s pretty comfortable (especially for taller players) and wide enough for smaller players to sit cross-legged, if desired. It also rolls easily and the chair adjusts vertically a few inches. So, despite the initial difficulties, the overall finished product is acceptable, but perhaps not worth the purchase price. ***original review*** We were looking forward to having a new gaming chair in our home, and we were prepared to have to put this one together. Unfortunately, one of the receiving ends of the screws to connect the back of the chair to the armrest will not accept a screw, so the chair itself is unable to be fully assembled. The instructions themselves are pictures only and are not tremendously clear, and there aren't any extra pieces to use in exchange for faulty ones. Also, the polyurethane smell is pretty strong right out of the box. Overall, we are quite disappointed with this product. ... show more
