Wanted a fan for above my woodstove to force air around the house. The mounting bracket was super easy to use. Ended up mounting it on my brick wall, I will have to get a longer extension cord as the cord hanging looks a little tacky. Overall great value for the price. Some fins were bent, but easy enough to correct. The mounting bracket screw hole was not properly drill to correct size, but easily correctable. Fan is quiet and puts out a nice breeze. The remote is nice and works on all settings. The oscillator function allows you to freeze position and resume as needed. Use your own wall anchors, those included are very cheap and do not work well in drywall. Aside from what I pointed out, it is worth the money. ... show more

This fan is awesome, the amount of air it pushes plus how quiet it is even on the highest setting is amazing. The remote itself is not the greatest, cheap plastic, prongs for batteries inside bent and had to be straightened out before would work, and not the best as far as working from a distance. Ordered this one for my daughter's room, liked it so much, just got the second one I ordered installed in another bedroom. With that said...then there's the packaging. Everything just thrown in a box, no packing material at all, this was the same on both fans, everything g loose and just rolling around in there whole in transit. Luckily, all the screws were still in the box, but again, not packed in any kind of bag or anything at all. Both fans came with bent rims in both the front and the back covers. Bent in places on the outside (overall shape) and multiple bent within the covers themselves. I was able to bend them back somewhat but it's still very visible on the front where the bent ones are. I get shipping is free (I'm Prime member idk if that matters or not), but, as a consumer I would expect a product to be packaged much better when the seller knows it's going to be shipped and tossed around like a rag doll in transit. I probably wouldn't be as upset had it been only one, but both fans, two separate orders a couple of days apart, arrived in the same exact shape. Good thing they produce the air flow they do, otherwise they'd definitely be getting sent back. ... show more

I bought three of these units after really giving a good look around at what was out there.. 2 of the units have never had anything done to them after 6 months.. The other one I had to put drop or two of oil on the fan side shaft end of the motor, (kept not wanting to spin up to full speed). I had to do this a couple of times during the 3rd and 4th months. No big deal, bearings in these motors appear to be standard bronze shaft motor bearings and can get gummy. Not totally unexpected where I have them. I have them in an RV at the lake and they get dirty and dusty in the summer time. Over 6 months I have cleaned all three units a couple of times and the last one about 4 times (the one with the bearing i had to oil). I wall mounted all 3 of them and it couldn't be any more simple stupid to mount. I mean really, getting it out of the box was a bigger deal. I wall mounted all 3 and a simple single nail or screw and that was it. I threw their little packing of mounting hardware in my kitchen hardware draw. The fans are awesome, they really quiet with a small and simple IR button remote with 3 speeds, a timer, oscillation, and multi modes. Cleaning them is a breeze and even oiling that one bearing is no big deal. Keep in mind that the one requiring oil now is working fine and was probably just because it was new and very tight and my environment was dirtier than what most would have in their homes (I live on a lake with gravel dust lake roads, our gravel is limestone *very dusty when used heavily) typical lake roads are usually river gravel type and not as big a deal. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is because of having to oil that one. Great fan, great buy, super easy to hang. Go for it, I would be shocked if you were not satisfied with this product. ... show more
